The spoilers for One Piece chapter 1125 have finally been released, and the ultimate antagonist of One Piece, Imu, has taken a step that has shocked the entire fandom. The Supreme ruler of the World Government has proved why he is the only one who can sit on the Empty throne by giving a glimpse of his terrifying strength.
This brief look at Imu’s power has made it clear that Luffy’s Gear 5 mode that unlocks his Nika transformation won’t be enough to defeat Imu. He needs to somehow increase his power if he wishes to save the One Piece world from the tyranny of the World Government.
Eiichiro Oda has been dropping epic revelations with every chapter, and One Piece fans have never been so excited for the narrative to unfold. The series is currently at its peak moment, and it is only going to get better with the upcoming storylines that are going to explore more important aspects of the One Piece world.
The recent spoilers of One Piece chapter 1125 have revealed that the chapter is filled with new and exciting details about the Vegapunk’s brain, Straw Hats moving forward, and Imu’s interaction with the Five Elders after the battle.
Imu expresses his disappointment by appointing Garling Figarland as the new Elder by replacing Saturn.

However, Saturn is not just replaced. Imu also takes away his powers as black flames emit from his body and he starts getting older. It reaches a point where he explodes, and only his skeleton is left lying on the ground. This hints at Imu’s dangerous ability and also confirms the theory about Imu being the one who gave the Five Elders their terrifying powers.
Luffy Needs To Power Up Soon
The pace of the One Piece narrative has been increasing steadily, with all the major mysteries from the past being revealed one by one. This hints that the final war may be approaching sooner than fans think. Thus, Luffy and his crew need to be ready if they want to win against the evil of One Piece.
However, the recent revelation of Imu’s strength has imbued fear in the minds of One Piece fans. Him being able to destroy Saturn in just a blink proves that he is miles above Luffy’s Gear 5 in terms of sheer power. If Luffy remains at his current level, he won’t be able to defeat Imu ever.
Thus, the One Piece protagonist needs to learn some kind of power-up or attain a new Gear if he wants to save the world. While there have been no hints dropped about this, Oda surely has something big planned for him and his crew in the upcoming arcs.
