One of the Baltimore Ravens’ top players has boldly decided to call out Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce while also throwing shade at Taylor Swift ahead of Thursday’s NFL Kickoff Game at Arrowhead Stadium.
Travis Kelce and the Chiefs defeated the Ravens in last year’s AFC Championship Game in Baltimore en route to a Super Bowl 58 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. With the win, the Chiefs became the first team since the 2003 and ’04 New England Patriots to win consecutive Super Bowls.
Now, Kansas City will try to complete the first-ever Super Bowl three-peat. And the quest begins against another AFC heavyweight, led by reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and two-time rushing champion Derrick Henry.
As if this game didn’t need more intrigue and hype ahead of kickoff, Ravens All-Pro cornerback Marlon Humphrey added fuel to the fire by calling out Kelce during an appearance on his “Punch Line with Marlon Humphrey” podcast.
“I pray for this…to go against him, because like, he’s tried to take everything from me. He’s gotta pay for what he’s done to the podcast space, he tried to eliminate us…And honestly, I don’t care who he is dating. Did they get engaged? I don’t care who he’s dating. September 6th, it will be Pod vs. Pod, and we will see what heights is higher.”
