COACH KELCE

Fans predict Travis Kelce will retire from Kansas City Chiefs and take up college head coach role in huge season twist

Kelce has yet to score a touchdown this season

SPECULATION is growing that Travis Kelce could enter retirement earlier than expected after a rough start to the season.

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently 3-0 and atop the NFL, but Kelce has been nowhere to be found in their offense.

In three games to start the season, Kelce has just eight catches for 69 yards.

He is on pace for a career-worst 391 yards, and he hasn’t even scored a touchdown yet this season.

Kelce’s slow start has some questioning if he should’ve retired after last season, as he has made no impact on the Chiefs offense this year.

“Travis Kelce is gonna retire after this season. Guarantee it,” one fan said.

“Once again he should just retire. Travis Kelce is washed and Mahomes doesn’t trust him anymore,” another fan said.

“Travis Kelce needs to get his mind back on football or retire. He hasn’t had a single double digit game this season. Time to be gone,” a third fan said.

“Travis kelce fina retire. You can tell he’s getting old,” a fourth fan said.

“I am ready to have this conversation. Travis Kelce needs benched or retire. He is done. I hope I am wrong but…” a fifth fan said.

While many are calling for Kelce’s retirement, one writer has proposed an interesting scenario for his future.

TWSN’s Marissa Myers thinks Kelce should trade in his cleats for a headset and take up a college coaching job.

Travis Kelce reveals reason he was on phone at US Open with Taylor Swift after eagle-eyed fans spotted it propped up
Specifically, Myers thinks he should return to his alma mater as the head coach of the University of Cincinnati.

While it is certainly possible that Kelce could find his way into coaching at some point in the future, the entire scenario is a but far-fetched.

First of all, Kelce has zero experience as a coach, and likely no program would hire him immediately out of retirement.

He would have to build up some experience as an assistant somewhere before taking over a coaching job.

Also, Cincinnati isn’t a school that is in need of a coaching change any time soon.

Travis Kelce The Actor

NFL star Travis Kelce recently landed his first major acting role and has a new cameo

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end plans to become a “heavyweight” figure in music and entertainment.

Kelce has seen his star power rise after going public with his girlfriend Taylor Swift last summer.

The 34-year-old has now been cast in the new horror series Grotesquerie.

Directed by American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, the drama is set to land on FX this fall.

Kelce will appear in the show alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville.

In August, Adam Sandler confirmed Travis will make a cameo in his upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel.

The news comes after Travis previously showed interest in appearing in a possible reboot.

Sure, the Bearcats had an awful season in 2023, going 3-9 and missing out on a bowl game, but they are a program that is on an upward trajectory, not the other way around.

Cincinnati is 3-1 this season, only losing to undefeated Pittsburgh, and are in a prime position to make a run at a bowl game.

Also, head coach Scott Satterfield is only in year two of his rebuild of the program, and there is no world in which he would get fired that quickly.

It should be noted also that it is probably unlikely that Kelce enters retirement during or after this season.

He just signed another extension on his contract, and he wouldn’t miss out on making millions of dollars just because his production has dipped.
