NFL fans have been up in arms over Terry Bradshaw’s shock prediction that the Kansas City Chiefs will not win the Super Bowl this season.
The veteran broadcaster had already caused uproar among his fellow Fox Sports co-hosts with his bold statement during Sunday’s show, leaving the likes of Michael Vick, Charles Woodson, Julian Edelman and Peter Schrager audibly gasping, but now it is those online who are voicing their disbelief at the 76-year-old.
Speaking on Fox on Sunday, the four-time Super Bowl winner and Pittsburgh Steelers legend said: “They’re not going to win three in a row. I just think they’re going to load up against a team like Buffalo; they’re going to load up against a team like Baltimore. Those are the two teams that can beat them. I think it’s going to happen.”
Having already blazed their way to back-to-back Super Bowl triumphs, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and the rest of the Chiefs squad are now aiming for a historic third consecutive crown as they head into the post-season with a remarkable 15-1 record.
Heading into 2025, they have already clinched the AFC’s top seed following a Christmas Day victory over the Steelers, securing both a playoff bye and home advantage for the play-offs.
Nevertheless, Bradshaw remains adamant that Andy Reid’s charges will not be celebrating in New Orleans come February 9. While some fans are hopeful that the Ravens or Bills can end the Chiefs’ dominance, many have disagreed with Bradshaw on social media.
One Chiefs supporter expressed their annoyance, writing: “He said the exact same thing last year that we wouldn’t go back to back, and then look what happened.”
Another fan weighed in with: “Why are they forgetting the Chiefs have beaten the Ravens this season? Maybe Terry is going a bit senile.” Adding to the disbelief, a third person remarked: “Doubting Mahomes is a crazy thing to do.”
“Not a Chiefs fan but Terry needs to go. Jesus is he terrible,” a fourth fan posted, while a filth wrote: “Terry Bradshaw you are wrong the Chiefs offense is clicking at the right team and defense is great.”
Taking a jab at Bradshaw’s historical loyalty with the Steelers, one person teasingly wrote: “Someone still not over that Christmas Day game” complemented by a laughing emoji.
