Jason Kelce’s wife leaves fans stunned with two honest admissions about ex-NFL ace husband

Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce may have retired from football, but he’s now busier than ever according to wife Kylie, who stunned followers with details about their relationship

The wife of NFL icon Jason Kelce has shocked fans by revealing how little time she and their kids actually get to spend with him.

Kylie Kelce tied the knot with Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason – brother of Taylor Swift’s beau Travis Kelce – in 2018, and the couple have three young daughters. She’s currently expecting their fourth child, with the pair announcing the pregnancy news on social media last month.

With Jason’s NFL career now behind him, one might assume that he’d have more time to spent with his family. But according to Kylie, she sees her husband less now than she did when he was on the road with the Eagles.

“My husband is busier now than he has ever been,” she admitted on her Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce podcast. “I see him less now in retirement than I did when he was playing football.”

Since hanging up his boots, Jason has forged a successful media career, starring regularly on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown programme. He also runs a weekly podcast with his brother Travis, New Heights, which recently landed a £78million ($100m) deal with Amazon. On top of that, the brothers are key investors in the independent light beer company, Garage Beer.

All in all, it means Jason’s schedule is pretty packed, and according to Kylie he rarely has time to look after the kids – even when she’s recording her podcast. “When I have to do something, coaching, something for the Eagles Autism Foundation, something for the podcast, a doctor’s appointment even, I will schedule childcare,” she continued.

“My husband could tell me 72 times that he will be in the house during the times when I have to leave it. I will still schedule childcare.” Kylie did, however, assure listeners she wasn’t “knocking” her husband, whom she said was “really grinding”.

Plenty of fans on social media were taken aback by Kylie’s comments. One YouTube user wrote: “Can’t believe Jason isn’t pitching in with the childcare when his wife is pregnant. Wow.”

Another agreed, writing: “I like the Kelce brothers but if this is how Jason treats Kylie then I feel bad for Taylor. If my husband left me watching the kids while I was pregnant I’d divorce him!”

A third, however, suggested Kylie was a hypocrite. “You can’t complain about Jason spending too much time doing podcasts and not being able to look after the kids when you are *checks notes* recording a podcast while not looking after the kids.”

Jason spent his entire 13-year NFL career at the Eagles. The former center helped his side clinch their very first Super Bowl victory at Super Bowl LII in 2018, defeating the New England Patriots 41-33. He also secured seven Pro Bowl selections and six All-Pro selections between 2017 and 2023.
