Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian’s feud has been reignited, with fans flooding social media with savage tweets eight years after Kim’s now-infamous jibe.

The annual National Snake Day falls on July 16 each year – but it means something completely different to Swifties.

Eight years ago, reality star Kim, 43, sparked a social media firestorm when she famously hit out at Taylor, 34, by tweeting: ‘Wait it’s legit National Snake Day?!?!? They have holidays for everybody, I mean everything these days!’

Kim and Kanye famously fell out with the musician in 2017 over lyrics in the rapper’s Famous track, in which he referred to the singer as a ‘b***h*’ – which West claimed Taylor had approved, yet she denied.

At the time, keen on proving his point in the feud, Kim shared footage of her then-spouse talking to the singer about his single Famous – in which he also said that he and the singer might have sex.

The shared clip led to a huge social media outcry, with Taylor’s Instagram and Twitter account being bombarded with snake emojis.

However, things took a turn when the singer famously reclaimed the image of the snake that was used against her and made a sensational return with her track Look What You Made Me Do.

Most of the pop icon’s next album Reputation, released in 2017, was aimed at her experience during the ordeal, and included lots of snake-themed imagery.

In the song, and its accompanying video, the star took aim at the trolls who had furiously branded her a ‘snake’ after Kim’s phone call leak.

One clip from the video shows Taylor sitting on a throne surrounded by snakes, a pointed dig at Kim and Kanye.

Now, following the release of Taylor’s 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, which took aim at Kim in the song ThanK You AIMee, National Snake Day is causing a stir online.

Fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to reference the historic feud and guess that it could even be the perfect occasion for the singer to release her re-recording of the Reputation album: ‘Happy National Snake Day.’

‘Rep TV’; ‘REP TV ANNOUNCEMENT??’; ‘Our favourite day.’
