Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift ‘might actually be engaged’ as NFL insider drops major hint

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been dating for almost a year and a half – and it seems as though the couple are ready to take their relationship to the next level

Ex-NFL star Troy Aikman has suggested that he may have unintentionally stumbled upon a major scoop. He claimed an anonymous source informed him that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift may actually be engaged.

The relationship between the two has been a hot topic for both sports and music enthusiasts since they made it public last September. Since then, the couple have been regularly seen supporting each other’s careers – with Kelce spotted at his chart-topping girlfriend’s global concerts.

Similarly, Swift has been seen cheering on her Kansas City Chiefs beau from the sidelines at Arrowhead Stadium. Aikman, now a colour commentator, mentioned their relationship during ESPN’s “Monday Night Football”.

However, the three-time Super Bowl champion made a blunder when he referred to Swift as Kelce’s “missus”, leading to play-by-play announcer Joe Buck correcting him. Reflecting on this incident during the Chiefs and Saints game on Barstool’s “Pardon My Take” podcast, co-host PFT Commenter praised Aikman’s commentary skills but couldn’t resist poking fun at his recent error.

He joked: “Unless you make a minor mistake on the air and you accidentally say that Taylor Swift is married to Travis Kelce.”

The pundit couldn’t help but clap back with his personal take on the fuss, noting: “Was that a big deal. Was I on a tight rope right there? This morning, I woke up and saw a headline like, ‘Aikman knew he was in trouble’ or something and I was like, ‘Gosh, if this is newsworthy … Really?”

Keeping their finger on the pulse of sports breakthroughs, he then hinted at exclusive inside information from a source during a chat, revealing: “I don’t know if I cursed them or not, but somebody actually reached out to me today and said that they might actually be engaged – so, I might’ve broke the story.”

In previous comments about her son possibly putting a ring on Taylor Swift, Donna Kelce told Page Six: “Nobody knows that. We will see what happens. You never know. I don’t give my kids advice. They have everything all settled. They’re far more able to make those decisions on their own.”

Similarly, Travis’s brother Jason recently heaped praise on Tay for the transformative effect she’s had on Travis during their ‘New Heights’ podcast episode exclaiming: “My girl Tay is getting you opened up. She’s introducing new foods to you. It’s one of the greatest things I’ve been happy about.”
