The Kansas City Chiefs are the only undefeated team remaining in the NFL which makes them early Super Bowl contenders with an impressive 6-0 record. The defending champions are currently the first place in the AFC West Conference.
Part of the reason behind the Chiefs success is the drive of its superstars like quarterback Patrick Mahomes and stellar tight end Travis Kelce.
National Tight End Day is next Sunday October 27 and to get the celebration started, the NFL showed the toughness of Kelce. The league posted a video of a gutsy play that happened during the Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers game on Week 7 of the 2023 season, which ended on a victory for Kansas City 31-17.
During the play, Kelce receives a short pass from Mahomes but ends up with his back towards defenders. However, that didn’t stop the tight end from gaining yards thanks to his toughness, determination and some help from his offensive line. The play got the player ready for some more and make him laugh.
“Let’s go! That’s all O-Line right there, got me in there. Yeah!” said Kelce on the sideline as he got congratulated by this teammates.
So far, Kelce has yet to score in the 2024-2025 season but he does racks up 245 receiving yards. He hopes to elevate his offensive production during the following weeks.
