It has now been a week since Shannon Sharpe accidentally went on Instagram live while having intercourse with a woman. This was an all-time blunder that he will likely never live down, and that became obvious after Molly Qerim took a subtle jab at him during ESPN’s “First Take.”
During Monday’s show, Qerim recapped the Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints game. In the background, you could hear Shannon talking, which made everything very distracting.
Qerim says, “Shay, we can hear you, buddy.” This seems to be a clear joke referencing the video, which many people picked up on.

“Although he’s not doing anything, this is still hella funny. Thought Shannon would’ve learned by now,” said one comment.
“Tough week for Sharpe and electronics,” added another.
The show continued as if nothing had happened, but nobody can deny that Qerim provided a super subtle yet hilarious joke at Sharpe.

The fact that it went so viral, and Sharpe is such a recognizable face across most North American sports fanbases, means people aren’t likely to soon forget to video. You can certainly expect this won’t be the last time a co-host pokes a bit of fun at him for it, either.
Shannon Sharpe Claims He Could Lose Sponsorship
Though he might not lose his job at ESPN, Sharpe risks losing many sponsorships due to the accident.
“We’ve got six- and seven-figure sponsors and advertisers saying, ‘Shannon, we don’t know if we want to continue this relationship,’” he said on his show “Nightcap.”
This was discussed after people started accusing him of staging the Instagram live.
“So you think I would be willing to risk that… the next five to seven years, $170 million to $200 million, you think I would be willing to risk that to do this?” he continued.
