Angel Reese had a wholesome response after being asked about playing on the same team as Caitlin Clark, with both rookies selected as All-Stars this year.

The rivals have faced off three times this season but will become All-Star teammates later this month, and fans are excited to see what they can do together.

In the meantime, Reese has been stacking up double-doubles, having grabbed her 14th consecutive one in a 78-69 Chicago Sky win over the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday. She made an appearance on ESPN’s ‘NBA Today’ after the game and, at one point, was asked about teaming up with Clark.

“It’s going to be really cool,” she said. “I know so many fans are going to come out to watch both of us. I know a lot of people are going to be able to come to Phoenix. I’m sure it’s already sold out.

“We’re going to be playing together for a while, so it’s not gonna be the [last] time,” Reese predicted. “I know we’ll be All-Stars again. Hopefully 2028, we’ll be Olympians together, too.”

Angel Reese Is Focused On Making The Playoffs

Angel Reese also revealed that she plans to head to Paris to watch the Summer Olympics, with the WNBA to take a break after the All-Star Game on July 20 and resume on August 15.

She and Clark will rekindle their rivalry when the league resumes play at the end of the Olympics. They’re battling it out for the Rookie of the Year Award, with both of them making compelling cases. However, Reese claims her focus is on the playoffs.

“My teammates always say stuff about it, but I really try to have tunnel vision and focus on what the thing is,” she remarked. “Getting into the playoffs is something I want to do.”

Angel Reese Took A Direct Shot At Caitlin Clark & Charles Barkley In Since-Deleted Tweet After Her Chicago Sky Got Their Second Win Of The Season

Caitlin Clark seemed to take a swipe at Caitlin Clark and Charles Barkley after the Chicago Sky picked up their second win of the season on Thursday night.

The Sky are 2-1 following a win over the New York Liberty. Meanwhile, Clark’s Fever are languishing at 0-5 to start the season.

Barkley, on the other hand, left WNBA fans, and likely players, upset with his comments on Wednesday night. The Hall of Famer called out WNBA players for being “petty” and hating on Caitlin because of all the attention she’s getting during ‘Inside The NBA.’

He suggested that players should appreciate the two-time College Player of the Year for all the fans she’s brought to the league, also referencing the arrival of charter flights and the boost in ratings.

The comments did not go down with fans, given that there’s hardly any evidence of Clark being hated. While Diana Taurasi’s warning is something that could be considered, that’s all it was: a warning. To be fair, it was not displaced as Clark’s finding it hard to adjust to the rigors of the WNBA.

Angel Reese Takes Aim

Angel Reese caught wind of the comments as she appeared to take a shot at Barkley and Clark after the Sky became the first team to beat the Liberty for the season on Thursday.

“And that’s on getting a WIN in a packed arena not just cause of one player on our charter flight,” she wrote in a tweet.

Reese has deleted the post, but not before certain accounts got screenshots.

The rookies’ rivalry dates back to their college days. And the fact that it’s followed them to the WNBA should make things more exciting for fans.
