With the contract renewals of Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb plus keeping almost the same roster as the last three seasons when they finished with a 12-5 record, it seemed that the Dallas Cowboys (3-3) would once again be a contender during the regular season, but a lousy ground defense, injuries to key players, especially on defense, and the inability to win at home, 0-3 at home and 3-0 on the road, have left the Cowboys’ season in doubt as to how far they can go. Based on what has been shown so far, it does not seem that far, but there are still two-thirds of the season left to try and save or make up for it. But indeed, It certainly wasn’t the way Jerry Jones wanted to celebrate his 82nd birthday after suffering the worst home loss in his history as Cowboys owner.
Dallas Cowboys walk of shame after embarrassing defeat
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones suffered the worst defeat in his 35 years as a team owner, with the 38-point loss breaking the record of 33 points set in 2001. As a result, the road back to the dressing room looks extremely serious for him and the rest of the players. The Cowboys lost 47-9 and those 47 points are also the most they have ever conceded in a game in which they did not score a touchdown, and to add insult to injury, the Cowboys have been outscored by a combined 82 points in their last four home games, so something is wrong and the bye week is the perfect time to rethink things before the NFL classic against the San Francisco 49ers. Judge for yourselves and laugh if you are Cowboys hater, as most people are.
The tough season continue for the Dallas Cowboys
The bye week came at the best time for the Cowboys, after such a historic defeat what they need is to rethink their situation and turn the page, especially because the next opponent is on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers in California. After that they go to Atlanta, a very complicated game, but I don’t know if it will be more complicated than the one in week 10 at home against their divisional hated rivals Philadelphia Eagles and then the same at home against the Houston Texans, anyway Dallas seems to have a complicated road and their fans can start thinking that the playoffs look very far away.
