ESPN colleagues Shannon Sharpe and Kirk Hersbstreit could be headed into some beef following Sharpe clapping back at the latter’s comments about ‘First Take.’

Herbstreit criticized Ohio State’s detractors during their playoff win over Tennesee on Saturday night, ripping the people who called for Ryan Day to be fired.

The ESPN analyst, a former Buckeye, also went after said show for speculating over Day’s future after Ohio State lost to Michigan for the fourth time in four consecutive years.

“The lunatic fringe at Ohio State is as powerful as anywhere in the country. It used to be eight to 10, I think it’s grown now to about 15 to 20. I’m sure they’ll be happy tonight, fired up about what the team did, but God forbid they lose to Oregon. They’ll want to fire [Day] again,” he said during the Buckeyes’ win.

“First Take tried to fire him. They thought he was done, so I’ll be excited to see what they talk about on Monday after this performance. They had him out, trying to find replacements. But here he is, he still has his hat on. He’s still coaching.”

Shannon Sharpe Was Not Happy With Kirk Hersbstreit

Sharpe, who joined ‘First Take’ after leaving FS1 last year, took umbrage at Herbstreit’s statement and issued a warning while on the show on Monday.

“If we’re going to be on the same team, if we’re gonna work for the same network, don’t do that,” he said.

“Kirk, Chris Fowler, I promise you, if you ever mention any platform that I’m on again talking about ‘I wonder what they’re going to say as negativity,’ I promise you, ESPN ain’t got enough bosses to keep me off y’all for what I’m going to say… don’t play with me.”

Herbstreit had not responded to Sharpe as of this writing. Whether he does or not remains to be seen.

On Friday, ESPN’s “First Take” hit the road and set up camp at Clark Atlanta University for the show’s Historically Black College and Universities tour. However, fans noticed something strange about Shannon Sharpe and one fan during the show.

At one point in the show, Sharpe and the rest of the crew intently listen to Cam Newton speak, but in the background, you can see a fan who looks exactly like Sharpe.

They appeared to be of similar height, hairstyle, and facial features and even wore the same pair of glasses.

Of course, it made for a funny coincidence, but now everyone on social media is making the same joke about Sharpe and the fan.

Of course, Sharpe does have three children: two daughters, Kayla and Kaley, and a son named Kiari.

However, that was not Kiari in the video, and with how uncanny the resemblance is, Sharpe might have some serious explaining to do.

Shannon Sharpe Put Blame On Giannis Antetokounmpo For Milwaukee Bucks Poor Start

The Milwaukee Bucks have started 2-6 and are currently in thirteenth place in the Eastern Conference.

The Bucks have had bad performances from many different players, but Sharpe has attributed a lot of blame to Antetokounmpo and his desire to bring more superstars to the team, like Damian Lillard.

“And Perk said he wanted another superstar, but in the process of getting that superstar in Damian Lillard, you weakened your team,” Sharpe said. “Because of your on-ball presence, what Holiday is. Not only did you weaken your team, you strengthen the team that’s been your chief competition in the East. You made them damn near unbeatable.”
