Fox Sports commentator Greg Olsen was not backing down after what he said during the Commanders-Eagles game on Sunday.
Olsen, who lost his job on FOX’s premier team to Tom Brady this year, came under fire for his performance in the fixture as the Commanders snatched an important victory, beating Philly 36-33 in a remarkable comeback.
The Eagles lost Jalen Hurts pretty early in the game, with the quarterback exiting with a suspected concussion. Fans felt like Olsen did not give Philly enough credit for fighting on without the Pro Bowler and didn’t factor in how big of a loss he was during his commentary.
He was also accused of being partial to Washington.

Greg Olsen Explains Himself
Greg Olsen took to social media to defend his analysis after going off the air, giving Commanders rookie QB Jayden Daniels some flowers in the process.
“Final couple thoughts on todays game- Hurts was NOT knocked out of the game by a dirty hit. His head hit the ground Losing Hurts of course altered the game as we covered AT LEGNTH,” he wrote.
“(ex, Lack of QB sneak option on 4th down, WAS all but ignoring the pass to load up on Saquon, change of coverage style, it was all laid out in detail) If you manage to score 33 points, force 5 takeaways and have the best defense in the NFL, then everyone should recognize just how good Jayden Daniels was today.”
Olsen also poked fun at the Eagles fan base in another tweet.
“Eagles fans are the best!” he added. “They lose for the first time in months after giving up 36 points and we didn’t make enough excuses for them.”

VIDEO: NFL Fans Want Refs Severely Punished After Footage Shows They Allowed The Commanders To Get Away With “The Most Obvious” Penalty vs. The Eagles

NFL fans have had it up to here with the officiating this season and were calling for the referees who worked Sunday’s game between the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles to be suspended.
The Commanders claimed an important win on the day, clinching a 10th victory with a late 36-33 result on a last-ditch touchdown. However, fans were upset as it appeared that the refs missed a blatant false start on the play, which ended up being the dagger for Washington as they went ahead with the TD.
Washington’s right tackle moved before the ball was snapped, but NFL refs are told to cut linemen a little slack in such cases, which is why FOX’s Greg Olsen thought it was a good no-call.

“THE REFS MISSED AN OBVIOUS FALSE START ON THE #COMMANDERS TACKLE ON THEIR GAME-WINNING PLAY,” MLFootball noted.
“That’s the most obvious false start I’ve ever seen,” another account declared.
“Pretty clear false start on the right tackle,” said another.
“MISSED a False start by the Right Tackle on that Commanders go-ahead TD. Wow. Bad miss too,” a fourth wrote.
“How can the refs miss this false start on the commanders also fire that announcer it’s not an impressive win considering hurts was out by a dirty hit by Luvu and he should’ve been ejected for that,” a fan suggested.
The loss was significant for Philly, as they failed to clinch the NFC East and blew a chance to snatch the No. 1 seed.
The Washington Commanders, on the other hand, have kept their playoff hopes alive.
