Travis Kelce‘s acting career has certainly been on the rise this past year, but according to “Friday Night Lights” star, Sinqua Walls, it’s not due to his relationship with Taylor Swift.
Walls attributed Kelce‘s success in entertainment to his natural talent and hard work, although he acknowledges that being a three-time Super Bowl champ has likely helped open doors.
The 39-year-old actor, who also played a leading role in the “White Men Can’t Jump” remake, shared his thoughts after spotting a billboard for “Grotesquerie,” a horror TV show featuring Kelce.
Walls was quick to clarify that while many fans credit Kelce’s off-field success to his connection with Swift, as he believes it’s Kelce‘s acting skills and dedication that deserve the spotlight.
“I think that what we’ve seen over the last few years of Travis is that he has a natural, innate charisma and personality,” Wells told TMZ Sports.
“I feel like if you can translate that into your role as an actor — if you can try and channel it, then it’ll be good.
“Over the last few years that man has won so many championships with him and [Patrick] Mahomes.
“They’ve been growing together, they both have built a bigger profile. I think with that comes more exposure and more opportunities, which it should.”
Throwback of Travis Kelce on SNL (March 2023). 🔥🔥🔥
He does some insane sh*t, but never breaks character. It’s obvious he was really enjoying the ridiculousness of it all.

Journey in entertainment sector
Kelce‘s entrance into the entertainment world actually dates back several years before Swift entered the picture.
He starred in his own reality dating show, “Catching Kelce,” in 2016, long before they were linked.
The NFL star continued to dabble in acting, appearing in “Moonbase 8” in 2020, and took on a hosting role in “Saturday Night Live” in early 2023.
These projects all came well before his rumored relationship with Swift, solidifying his place in entertainment on his own merit.
