The Washington Commanders are heading to the NFL playoffs after clinching a spot following a win against the Atlanta Falcons at home in overtime. It came off a touchdown pass by none other than signal caller Jayden Daniels.

Daniels was the second overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, and many consider him the best player selected in the draft so far. Nearly 100 percent of NFL fans believe the former LSU signal-caller will win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Daniels completed nearly 70 percent of his passes in his rookie season for over 3,500 yards and 25 touchdowns, compared to just nine interceptions. Yet he still has one game to go, meaning his stats could increase.

While Daniels may win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, it hasn’t been all him. The rookie passer has had some help from his teammates, which showed in Sunday’s overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Jayden Daniels And Marcus Mariota Share Touching Moment Before Overtime Winner

Before throwing his game-winning and playoff-clinching touchdown pass to tight end Zach Ertz, Daniels was approached by his backup and veteran quarterback, Marcus Mariota, who gave him some inspiring words.

“Stand up, catch your air, get your wind and go out there and execute. Use your God-given abilities and let’s go win this game,” he said as he embraced the former LSU signal before sending him on his way to win the game.

Of course, he scored, and now the Commanders will extend their season into the playoffs for the first time since the 2020 season when Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers knocked them out.

“Everything Woke Turns To Crap”: NFL Fans Rage Against NBC For Purposely Editing Out Redskins Logo While Comparing Jayden Daniels And Robert Griffin III

NBC is catching major hell for omitting the name “Redskins” from a graphic comparing Jayden Daniels and Robert Griffin III on Sunday as the Washington Commanders took on the Atlanta Falcons.

Washington topped the Atlanta Falcons, 30-24, in overtime of Sunday Night Football in Week 17. With the win, Washington improved to 11-5 on the year and clinched a playoff berth.

The rookie quarterback, who was taken No. 2 overall out of LSU, made history as he broke Robert Griffin III’s previous record for most rushing yards in a season by a rookie quarterback.

To bring it to everyone’s attention, NBC refused to say or acknowledge the word “Redskins.”

They decided to edit out the “Redskins” from Robert Griffin III’s rookie jersey, while Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth refused to mention the name at all.

“Everything woke turns to 💩,” one fan declared.

“This is soft as hell, a second fan added of what NBC did.

A third fan had to get something off his chest: “What’s the backlash? They’re literally editing what woke America made them change in the first place. The name should never have been changed in the first place.”

“NBC erasing the Redskins logo sparks backlash, balancing history with sensitivity isn’t easy,” a fourth fan commented.

“Shouldn’t be edited, but respectful to players, not teams,” a fifth X user said.

Will NBC Speak Out Over Their Actions?

Fans have long debated the origin of the term “Redskins,” as some feel it didn’t start out as an insult.

But to many Native Americans, the word refers to the grotesque act of hunting down and skinning scalps for cash bounties.

NBC upset thousands with their refusal to say the word while editng it out of their broadcast.

They are unlikely to apologize since the word does offend so many others.
