The matchup between Detroit Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and Dallas Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis was one that everybody wanted to see.

The Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys have plenty of history from a year ago.

During an appearance on ‘The Pivot’ podcast, St. Brown revealed that Jourdan Lewis said “out of pocket” things during last year’s matchup.

“He was talking crazy,” St. Brown said on “The Pivot Podcast,” released in July. “Some (stuff) I’ve never heard.”

Before the two clashed on Sunday at AT&T Stadium, St. Brown revisited the back-and-forth.

“I think they asked me what player talks the most smack, and it was hard for me to think of one,” St. Brown said. “He was one that kind of stood out because last year, not too many people said much to me. Like I said, I don’t say things to people for the most part, so he was one of the people that stood out to me.”

Lewis was also asked about the beef with Amon-Ra St. Brown.

“Sometimes I just black out and go somewhere else. Just go somewhere with it,” Lewis said via the Dallas Morning News. “If I said anything disrespectful, I’ll probably say it again.”

The Dallas Cowboys were hammered at home by the Detroit Lions as the home team failed to score a touchdown all game long in the 47-9 defeat.

Cowboys CB Jourdan Lewis wasn’t going to let the day end because his team lost.

In an Instagram story shared by the Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lewis can be seen sending a hateful message that read, “You a b—-.”

St. Brown added some emojis to mock him.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Doesn’t Have Huge Game But Did Enough to Help Team Win

Amon-Ra St. Brown caught four passes for 37 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s 47-9 blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys.

This was his lowest total yardage since Week One, but he did not have to be great as his team demolished the Cowboys.

The Detroit Lions obliterated the Dallas Cowboys in their Week 6 fixture on Sunday; then they added insult to injury.

With victory sealed nearing the end of the fourth quarter, the Lions had offensive lineman Dan Skipper line up as a wide receiver and actually tried to get him some yards.

Talk about disrespect…

To make matters worse, Skipper was open enough to make a catch.

Fans Totally Caught On To What The Detroit Lions Were Doing

The Lions’ sneaky play did not get past social media, with plenty of comments rolling in.

“You know it’s bad when the opponent is practicing plays usually reserved for the final 5 minutes of a practice at the beginning of the season,” someone wrote.

“He was open!” someone else pointed out.

“these dudes aint forgiving or forgetting,” said another.

One user didn’t find it funny, however.

“Campbell is a meathead,” they wrote. “Risking lineman for a gimmick play after you just lost a star… dumb AF. If they had a coach that didn’t act like he was coaching a high school team, I’d feel better about their chances at this rate he will do something stupid like go for it on fourth down instead of taking the points like he did last year and blow the game.”
