Jalen Hurts is one of the NFL’s premiere talents, and his team, the Philadelphia Eagles, is one of the league’s best. However, that doesn’t exclude the Eagles signal caller from following player safety protocols.
Hurts has been the Eagles quarterback since his NFL career started in 2020. The NFC powerhouse drafted Hurts with the 53rd overall pick in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, making him the starter in 2021.
Since joining the team, Hurts has had some very good stats over his seasons in the city of brotherly love. He has thrown for over 14,600 yards and nearly 90 touchdowns compared to just 39 interceptions.
During the Sunday night game between the Eagles and the Washington Commanders, Hurts received a shot to the head and subsequently gave a thumbs-up to a referee. It seemed that he had hoped to dodge concussion protocol.

Hurts was eventually sent to the Eagles locker room for further evaluation, and now one fan pointed out just how ridiculous the signal caller thought that a thumbs up to a ref would enable him to avoid the protocols.
Hurts would unfortunately not return to the game after throwing for just 11 yards before suffering the concussion. After being ruled out of the game, it’s unclear how long he will be out, so the Eagles may have a big decision to make come playoff time.

Jalen Hurts is one of the NFL’s premiere talents, and the league isn’t shy about it. They constantly promote the Eagles signal caller on social media, claiming he is a must-watch football player. That decision may have come back to bite them recently.
Hurts most recently played in the Eagles’ week 15 match-up against the Pittsburgh Steelers, in which they came out victorious by a score of 27-13. Philly would improve to a record of 12-2 on the season, remaining at the top of the NFC East.
In the big win over the Steelers, Hurts had a solid showing, completing 25 of his 32 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns. So far this season, he is on pace to break the 3,000 passing-yard mark and has almost 20 touchdowns.
The aforementioned win over the Steelers is now gaining a little more attention from NFL fans, but it may not be for the reason the league wants. After posting an X post about Hurts, they decided to fine him for the reason they made the post.
Jalen Hurts Fined After The NFL Calls Him Out For Wearing Two Different Cleats
According to MLFootball, the NFL posted to its official X account praising the young Eagle signal caller for wearing his two different-colored cleats. However, there was one issue: They decided to fine him $5000 today for doing so and deleted the X post. It’s safe to say fans were not pleased.

“The NFL is so SOFT,” said one user.
“bro running the nfl account wasn’t aware of the rules,” claimed another.
“This is crazy,” added one fan.
Another fan even decided to question the NFL, asking, “How can you say, “Yeah, you can wear that,” and then, “Oh, that will be $5,000”?“
“So lame smh,” commented one fan.
“Thats crazy 5k over damn shoes,” exclaimed another
“What rule does this break,” asked another fan.
It seemed many fans were in the same, as another fan questioned, “What’s going on?“
As we all know, the NFL is huge on enforcing its rules, especially regarding the uniform policy. While Hurts’ choice of cleats doesn’t hurt anyone or affect his playing ability, the two different colored cleats are not allowed, and it seems the social media guy didn’t know. Unfortunately, that’s the game!
