The Pittsburgh Steelers are trending toward making a change at quarterback as things are looking good for Russell Wilson and not so much for Justin Fields.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 4-2 and tied for first place in the AFC North, but they are ready to make a drastic change going into Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday that Pittsburgh will give quarterback Russell Wilson first-team reps in practice leading up to the game he is “in line” to play.

Russell Wilson has been sidelined all year due to a calf injury that is now “fully healed.”

Justin Fields has been playing pretty well, so this change came with some backlash from fans online.

ESPN’s Brooke Pryor adds that both signal-callers will practice on Wednesday, with head coach Mike Tomlin saying Russell Wilson remains in “consideration” for the Jets game.

Wilson has completed 66.3 percent of his passes in six games this season for 1,106 yards and five touchdowns against one interception.

The team is above .500 and rolling with him at quarterback.

A QB Change From Justin Fields To Russell Wilson Better Work, or Mike Tomlin Will Face Intense Backlash

Russell Wilson remains listed as QB1 on the depth chart of the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of the Week 7 matchup against the New York Jets.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reported that Russell Wilson will take first-team reps in practice this week over Justin Fields. Fans railed against the move since the team is 4-2 and in first place in the AFC North.

Should he falter in the next game or the next several, head coach Mike Tomlin will face a lot of backlash for messing with team chemistry.

It is impossible to go a single week without seeing a fight from fans, and now the Raiders and Steelers fan base has kept up that streak.

Raider Nation was well aware that Pittsburgh Steelers fans were going to be out in Las Vegas by the thousands.

There were so many of them that Las Vegas’s home game turned into a road game for them instead, as more terrible towels could be seen than the home fans.

With two passionate fan bases, something bad was bound to happen.

At some point in the game inside Allegiant Stadium, an argument between the opposing fan bases led to beers being thrown and one guy being held back.

That guy being held back removed his clothing and got ready to throw down with some Raiders fans.

Fortunately, a guy came and stopped him before things got out of hand.

There seemed to be much more to the story with people inside.

Apparently, the large Raiders fan tossed a beer on a Steelers fan and then proceeded to hit a woman in the face.

The video captioned said, “Raiders Fan throws beer on Steelers fan and then proceeds to hit a lady in the face. Total Scum. This was right after he hit the lady.”

Las Vegas Raiders Blown Out As They Lose to Steelers

Not only did a Raiders fan decide to be terrible to fans in the stands, but the team was also terrible.

Steelers running back Najee Harris had th play of the game when he tok off for a 36-yeard touchdown. Once he reached the 5-yard line he would dve for the pylon and get it there for the score.

Harris rushed for 106 yards, while Justin Fields added 59 yards on the ground and two TDs. He also passed for 145 yards.

Pittsburgh brought their two-game skid to a stop.
