NFL insider Ian Rapoport has offered an interesting update on New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The union between Rodgers and the Jets hasn’t gone as planned. The team’s 3-8, even with the veteran quarterback now healthy enough to play, and it appears they may have been better off with Zach Wilson.
Rodgers does not look like the player who won four MVPs in Green Bay and, per a shocking report, could have gotten benched several weeks ago had coaches not convinced owner Woody Johnson to leave him in as the starter.
According to Rapoport, the former Packers star has been dealing with “hamstring, Knee and ankle” problems all season, but he has avoided getting medical scans because he doesn’t want to know how bad they are in fear of getting benched.
“One source explained that Rodgers has resisted getting scans done, not wanting to reveal the severity of his injuries out of fear of having to come off the field. He has insisted that he keep playing,” the NFL Network reporter wrote in an article published on Sunday morning.
“The hamstring injury he suffered against the Broncos on Sept. 29 was believed to be a particularly significant one, but Rodgers assured everyone it was fine. Asked about it, a source said, he would simply say, “I’m playing”.”

Aaron Rodgers Doesn’t Appear To Have A Future With The Jets
In any case, it doesn’t appear that Rodgers has much of a future with the Jets. It’s been reported that they could release him before the end of the season – of course, his fate is still in his hands as he could mend everything with a turnaround in form.
The QB will have some time to rest and possibly heal, with the team on a bye week. The Jets are scheduled to play the Seattle Seahawks at home next Sunday and will hope Rodgers and Davante Adams can find the gear that made them such a formidable duo for the Packers.

A Connecticut newspaper did New York Jets linebacker CJ Mosley dirty with an NSFW headline offering an update on his injury.
The paper, The Chronicle, attempted to report on the player’s herniated neck disc on Monday but instead printed a hilarious typo, describing the injury as a “herniated d**k.”
Mosley has been out for the Jets’ last four games because of the injury… not the one in his lower extremity.
Unfortunately for The Chronicle, photos of the paper made it to social media. You can check it out in the photo below:
“Bro fell asleep at a Diddy party,” a fan joked.
“How does this happen?” another asked.

“Some editor is getting fired,” a comment read.
An editor told the New York Post a correction would be printed.
CJ Mosley Aims At Early-December Return
CJ Mosley hopes to be back by early December. He told reporters he was looking forward to returning after the Jets’ bye week, when they play the Seattle Seahawks on December 1.
“That’s definitely the goal,” he remarked before the Jets’ loss to the Colts. “I’m in a position where I’ve played a lot of football. Me missing this time won’t hurt me as much as another guy that might need this opportunity. It’s about safety at the end of the day. When I go home, I’m Clint Mosley. I’m C.J. I’m not the football player.”
Mosley also recently had a daughter. The baby girl was born a week after he got injured and put things into perspective for him.
“I had a full week of having a normal neck and ever since then every time I’m looking down, my neck’s hurting,” he said. “It puts things in perspective. There’s a lot of life after football. When I’m done playing, I want to make sure I’m 100 percent.”
