Josh Allen could very well win the MVP award this year, as his play in 2024 has been incredible despite losing Stefon Diggs in the offseason to a trade.
That is impressive, but not more than the fact that he has been playing most of the 2024 season through a significant injury.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Allen fractured his left hand during Buffalo’s Week 1 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
That injury occurred after Josh Allen jumped into the end zone for a rushing touchdown.
He hasn’t missed a single game this year. However, the team has kept him on their injury report through their Week 12 bye, with no one having a clue just how bad his injury truly was.
Allen had to go to the X-Ray room after their win over the Detroit Lions.
This was said to be precautionary, as he wanted to get peace of mind after taking a “funky fall” during the game.

There was no reason for concern despite the X-Rays. And there were no broken bones, according to Jeff Darlington of ESPN.
In that game, Josh Allen completed 23 of his 34 passes for 362 yards, tossing in two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also used his feet as he rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bills got a much-needed 48-42 victory.
What Are The Josh Allen MVP Odds?

DraftKings has him -900 in the current MVP odds.

Josh Allen is listed at 6’5″ and 237 lbs, and somehow, when he is barely touched on the field, he turns into Joel Embiid.
Allen has been accused of deceiving referees by using ridiculous tactics to flop and get calls.
The Bills were handed their first loss in eight games at SoFi Stadium when the Rams gave them everything they had to walk out with a 44-42 victory.
During the game, Josh Allen was seen trying to get a call after a Rams player came close to him, and the two players touched helmets.
The Bills quarterback received a lot of backlash for his actions, and fans were not quiet about them.
“Allen is pathetic and deserves so much more s–t than he gets,” said one fan.

One fan found a solution: “We need to add a 5-yard flopping penalty.”
Another fan added, “Josh Allen does it, and everyone thinks it’s so silly, but if Mahomes did this, the world would explode.”
“Josh Allen would be flipping burgers if he didn’t flop every 2 seconds,” wrote another X user.
“I’ve never seen a player flop as much as Josh Allen,” said another fan.
Another fan added: “You shouldn’t give up your day job either Josh. Bad acting bad timing.”
Allen has gained a bit of a reputation for flopping, and there’s plenty of video to support why he has.
It’s no shock that he is now engaged to be married to actress Hailee Steinfeld, who is a former Oscar nominee.
With the loss, the Bills dropped to 10-3 and likely out of the running to catch the Chiefs for the AFC top seed.
Josh Allen Made History Despite Loss To The Los Angeles Rams
Despite losing to the Los Angeles Rams in a 44-42 barn burner, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen continued to prove why he is an MVP candidate.
The MVP frontrunner completed 22 of 37 passes for 342 yards and three touchdowns and tallied another 82 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.
With those numbers, Allen also became the first player in NFL history to throw and pass for three touchdowns each in a single game.
