The Los Angeles Rams are reportedly actively seeking a move for star wide receiver Cooper Kupp ahead of the NFL’s November 5 trade deadline.

According to multiple reports, including from The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Rams aren’t just taking calls over Kupp’s availability but are also reaching out to other teams in search of a trade partner. It’s understood that they’re even open to paying some of the wideout’s salary for the remainder of this season in a bid to get a deal over the line.

The team is reportedly keen on securing a second-round pick in exchange for Kupp, fueling the notion that they are looking for top value while also intent on freeing up cap space.

“The Rams have called multiple teams about trading former Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp sources tell @mikesilver, @jourdanrodrigue, and me,” Russini reported on Tuesday. “The Rams have indicated a willingness to take on some of the ‘24 salary and are seeking a 2nd round pick.”

Cooper Kupp Boasts One Of The Most Prolific Receiving Seasons In NFL History

That the Rams are looking to part ways with Cooper Ckupp perhaps shouldn’t be all that surprising given his age, 31, and his injury history.

Kupp boasts one of the most impressive receiving seasons in NFL history. His 2021 campaign was the stuff of legend, as he led the league in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. He registered 145 catches for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns that season en route to Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP wins.

Kupp has been out with a high-ankle sprain since Week 2 and was expected to return against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8.

Given that his future with the Rams is now in doubt, he might remain off the field until a deal gets over the line.

VIDEO: Sean McVay’s Press Conference Turns Raunchy After Rams HC Suffers Sexual Slip-Of-The-Tongue

Sean McVay is one of the most well-spoken coaches in the NFL right now, but even he is not immune to the odd slip-of-the-tongue.

While talking to reporters over a Zoom conference call on Tuesday, McVay was answering a question about the league’s rules and their competition committee when he accidentally combined two words to create a raunchy-sounding comment.

It did not go unnoticed either, as social media immediately jumped all over the Rams head coach’s sexual slip-of-the-tongue.

McVay played it off well, but even he probably didn’t realize how raunchy his comment actually sounded.

Everyone else took notice, however, and it didn’t take long for the jokes to start flying:

Sean McVay & The Rams Entering Desperation Mode

Following a disappointing loss to the Chicago Bears, McVay and the Rams will need to get their heads out of the gutter as their season slowly slips away.

L.A. is currently 1-3 on the season, with their only victory coming via a thrilling comeback over the division rival San Francisco 49ers in week 3. Next up, the team will take on a Green Bay Packers team that should be extra-motivated following a crushing loss to the NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings.

It’s been a rough campaign for Sean McVay’s men, as they’ve been battered by significant injuries to key players like Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, among others. They entered the season with high hopes, as some even believed that they could challenge the Niners for top spot in the NFC West. It’s still early, but another couple of losses could effectively spell the end for the Rams’ playoff hopes.
