Wondering who will grace the Met Gala 2024 red carpet and bring their best fashion foot forward for this year’s theme, The Garden of Time? Well, a new report has claimed that Rihanna and at least one Kardashian-Jenner have received invitations for this year’s biggest fashion extravaganza.

On Sunday, Page Six reported that singer Rihanna, supermodel Kendal Jenner, and model Gisele Bündchen will attend the Met Gala along with newcomers Killers of the Flower Moon star Lily Gladstone and The Bear star Ayo Edebiri.

Olivia Rodrigo, Uma Thurman, Sarah Paulson, and Met regular Cara Delevingne will also grace the red carpet this year. Fans can also expect Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan at the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art again.

The themes of the gala, which takes place every year on the first Monday of May, inspire celebrities to push boundaries and curate once-in-a-lifetime kind of looks that can go down in the fashion history books. The Garden of Time, inspired by J.G. Ballard’s short story of the same name, aligns with the Costume Institute’s upcoming exhibition, titled Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion, which focusses on fashion history across 400 years.

The exhibition will feature 250 historically significant pieces called the “sleeping beauties”. There will be original designs from Christian Dior, Elsa Schiaparelli, Yves Saint Laurent and Hubert de Givenchy among others.

Met Ball is a charity event held annually to raise money for the Costume Institute through the sale of tickets, which are often bought by designers and brands. The tickets can cost anywhere between $35,000 to $300,000.
