Taylor Swift makes drastic decision to protect Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift is reportedly planning to take a step back from attending Kansas City Chiefs road games, potentially shifting the spotlight away from her boyfriend, star tight end Travis Kelce. The pop icon, who has enjoyed supporting the Chiefs since her relationship with Kelce became public, skipped the team’s recent matchup against the LA Chargers amid his early-season struggles on the field.

While Swift has made appearances at several Chiefs games, a source told The U.S. Sun that for the next few weeks, she’s likely to stick to attending only home games, as her schedule permits.

With her massively successful Eras Tour set to resume its North American leg later this month, Swift‘s calendar is packed, prompting her to carefully choose when to show her support in person.

Swift’s brave decision

Although Swift has loved cheering on the unbeaten Chiefs under coach Andy Reid, her absence may help ease the mounting pressure on Kelce, who has not started the season as strongly as expected.

The 34-year-old tight end has had trouble finding his usual rhythm with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and as the team preps for a showdown with the New Orleans Saints on Monday, Kelce is still hunting for his first touchdown of the season.

Taylor wants to keep it low key to protect Travis from possible extra criticism,” the source told The U.S. Sun.

“She loves him and knows that he will bounce back, but she is ready to skip some games so he doesn’t have to deal with more pressure.

“This rough patch for Travis on the field is something that she wants to help with him, even if it’s not coming to some games.

Taylor and Travis talked the day before the game in Los Angeles, and she decided not to make it so as not to bring any unnecessary attention.

“There is an extra spotlight on him because of his poor performances on the field and the criticism received since the start of the season.”

“They are confident he will bounce back.”
