Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are in real trouble. The Chiefs have one of their toughest games of the year this Sunday when they visit the Cleveland Browns, and to top it off, they will have to do it without their lucky charm, singer Taylor Swift.
There was much speculation throughout the week about the possible attendance of the pop star and Kelce’s girlfriend at the game at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.
Media and fans expected Swift to celebrate her birthday with Kelce at the Week 15 game, given that she ended her successful Eras Tour a couple of weeks ago. However, the Swifties just suffered a major disappointment.
What Happened to Swift?
Browns management has reportedly said that the “Bad Blood” singer will not be attending Sunday’s game. At least, that’s what information circulating on social media so far says.
The posts don’t clarify the reason for the absence. However, given that Swift is in the middle of her birthday weekend, it wouldn’t be unusual for her to have other commitments that prevent her from attending the game.
Just Thursday, Taylor visited a hospital in Kansas City, where she spent time with children with cancer. The visit was widely reported on social and mainstream media, especially in light of her 35th birthday celebration on Dec. 13.

Although it’s impossible to predict, it’s possible that the singer will still attend several of Kansas City’s games to support Kelce. The Christmas Day game against the Pittsburgh Steelers is a good start.
With the Chiefs already clinching a playoff spot, it’s possible Taylor will attend at least one of them, and her presence would be all but assured if the team plays in its third consecutive Super Bowl.
