As it turns out, a 48/year-old Terrell Owens reportedly reached out to Tom Brady to offer his services as a wide receiver. As a response, Brady didn’t even get back to him and that seems to have profoundly affected TO’s ego. As part of The Volume’s ‘The Bubba Dub Show’, Owens made these revelations about the offer he extended to Brady. Now that we know this happened, it should be interesting to know what the quarterback has to say.
Because there is a clear accusation here of Tom Brady being disrespectful to one of the most important wide receivers in NFL history. Take a look at what Terrell Owens said about this intention to play alongside Tom Brady at 48 years old. To be honest, Brady saw the proposal and maybe he had no choice but to think it was a joke.
But Owens was apparently serious about it, he said: “Tom Brady ignored me, bro. I reached out to him through Randy [Moss] and a couple of other people. You know this dude really ignored me, bro. Just shows you how, like, the lack of respect is. But then when they get in front of you they want to act like they respect you.”
Terrell Owens’ brilliant NFL career
Although he is 50 years old now, the reality is that Terrell Owens was so good that he could’ve easily kept playing until today and he would’ve helped any NFL team of his choosing. Throughout his career, Terrell Owens never won the Super Bowl but he made it to the Pro Bowl six times and was the NFL receiving touchdowns leaders in three separate seasons. Owens is part of the San Francisco 49ers’ Hall of Fame and retired with 1.78 receptions, 15,934 receiving yards, and 153 receiving touchdowns.
