Tom Brady‘s first season as the top color commentator for FOX has been a bit of a rollercoaster. His first few broadcasts didn’t bring about rave reviews, as many believed he sounded awkward and had poor chemistry with play-by-play partner Kevin Burkhardt. Then came the drama following the announcement that he will be a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, putting his broadcasting job under the microscope.

But over the last few weeks, Brady has seemed more comfortable, and he appears to be getting the hang of things more and more by the week. Given the nature of FOX’s game schedule, Brady only calls games on Sundays, but that will change this upcoming week. FOX’s traditional Thanksgiving game will feature the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys, so Brady will be working on the holiday, something that he may or may not have known was necessary.

Brady joined the NFL on FOX studio crew following Sunday’s game and was asked if he knew he had to work on Thanksgiving. Brady responded with wide open eyes and a “WHAT?!”. It seemed to be in jest, so Brady likely knew all along.

The one who didn’t know when he began his broadcasting career was Michael Strahan. The former Giants star turned media personality was apparently unaware he had to work during Thanksgiving before he accepted his job with FOX.
