The New England Patriots were one of the best teams in the NFL during the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick era. They were quite simply a dynasty after winning seven Super Bowls over the span of 20 seasons.
Some NFL fans consider Bill Belichick one of the main reasons for the Patriots dynasty of the 2000s and 2010s. It’s not difficult to see why, as the team has been struggling through the first part of its first season without the legendary head coach.
The team’s new head coach, Jerod Mayo, who served on Belichick’s coaching staff for a few years, currently has the team sitting in fourth place in the AFC East with just one win through their first seven games.
Belichick decided to kick the current Patriots bench boss while he was down. He took a slight shot at Mayo during a recent episode of his ‘Let’s Go‘ podcast with Maxx Crosby, Peter King, and Guest Tom Brady.

Bill Belichick Claims New England Patriots Have “Bad Coaching”

Belichick said that Mayo is a bad coach, claiming that the lousy play comes from “bad coaching.” He added insult to injury by comparing his team’s run defense from last season to this season. Last season, the Pats sat second, while they have dropped to just 26th this season.
The Patriots haven’t won a game since their September 8 match against the Cincinnati Bengals, so if Mayo wants to avoid the comments from his predecessor, he may want to get a win soon, as the Pats are set to face the Jets in week eight.

Bill Belichick may be out of coaching job, but he is still chasing another ring.
The six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach has been in a whirlwind relationship with his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.
Belichick and Hudson are still going strong, and things may be taken to the next level.
The Daily Mail reported this week that Belichick has found himself in a “bit of a crossroads” in his life thanks to his relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson.
Belichick believes his relationship with Hudson is “blossoming into something that is going to lead to marriage.”
“There is still a drive to coach again and break the wins record, but his life now isn’t that bad as he has been enjoying doing TV and absolutely enjoying his relationship with his girlfriend Jordon that is blossoming into something that is going to lead to marriage,” the outlet reported. “He wants to be with her all of the time, but she is pushing him to see the options that he will have for next season because she knows that makes him happy.”
The Daily Mail further added Bill Belichick could have “more options” in coaching after taking a year off from the game.

“After a year removed from the game on the field, he is going to have some more options, but as it looks now, he will be making the decision not just for himself but with the love of his life, as he wants her to be happy with any decision he is meant to make on any offers he will be given,” the outlet said.
The couple sparked romance rumors in 2023 when they were spotted on multiple public outings. Several NFL players subsequently poked fun at his love life, but nobody truly knew who was in his life until Hudson confirmed their relationship one year later when she shared photos of her and Bill Belichick, writing via Instagram, “Summation of Summer.”

Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reported “many around the league wonder if Dallas could become the primary landing spot for” former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick this offseason.
Schultz added that “multiple sources” said Belichick has a “really great” relationship with Jerry Jones and his family.
Belichick is currently spending the 2024 season as an analyst on multiple networks.
