Football fans are destroying Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and blaming him for costing CeeDee Lamb a touchdown during the team’s home game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Since AT&T Stadium opened in 2009, Jerry Jones has faced immense criticism for refusing to use curtains to block out the glaring sun that shines through the giant glass windows. The weird thing is that AT&T Stadium actually has blackout curtains, but Jones refuses to put them up during Cowboys games.

Well, Jones’ me-first mentality proved costly during the Cowboys-Eagles game on Sunday. Lamb couldn’t locate the ball on what should have been an easy touchdown…because of the blaring sunlight that got in his eyes:

Lo and behold, social media wasted no time destroying Jerry Jones:

At this point, the joke just writes itself.

Jerry Jones Is The Cowboys’ Problem

It’s unfair to blame the players for the Cowboys’ on-field struggles this year. Even Mike McCarthy and the coaching staff can only take so much heat, because they’re not the ones who built this roster.

Jones said he was going “all-in” back in January. He made zero moves to make the Cowboys better, and now he’s paying the price. Costing Lamb a touchdown because of his stubbornness is just the cherry on top of a dismal 2024 season in Dallas.

Rumors Linking Bill Belichick To The Dallas Cowboys Are “Heating Up”

The Dallas Cowboys have struggled mightily this season, and their coaching has been a big reason why. While Jerry Jones may be taking criticism because he refuses to find a new bench boss, Bill Belichick is one that he can’t refuse.

Belichick spent over twenty years as the head coach of the New England Patriots. His time with the team was headlined by the insane emergence of sixth-round pick Tom Brady, who became the GOAT after winning six of his seven Super Bowls in New England.

The Cowboys have been decent over the past few seasons under head coach Mike McCarthy, after joining the Cowboys in 2020 after over a decade in Green Bay, where he won a Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers.

McCarthy has yet to miss the playoffs as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. However, they have failed to go anywhere in the NFL playoffs, causing fans to call for a new head coach. After Belichick left New England, the perfect candidate fell right into their laps.

Could Bill Belichick Become The Head Coach Of The Dallas Cowboys

After their most recent loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, the rumors of Belichick going to Dallas only soared. Being a defensive-minded head coach, Belichick would greatly aid the Cowboys, who were also throttled by the Detroit Lions in week six.

One fan commented on what the changes in the “Big D” would be like if Belichick took the job there, claiming, “I want this because, above all else, this organization needs a culture shock. If BB accepts the job, I would bet it comes with conditions to minimize Jerry’s influence.”

Another fan threw shots at Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who famously claimed the team was “all in” this season, saying, “If Jerry wanted to win games he’d have fired Mccarthy after the playoff loss to the packers.”

If Bill Belichick goes to Dallas, who’s to say what condition the team will be in? It would certainly be a welcomed change for most Cowboys fans. The Dallas Cowboys will look to get back in the win column without Dak Prescott against the Philidelphia Eagles in week ten.
