The Toronto Argonauts got a huge win over the weekend, but they lost so much more with Chad Kelly.
Kelly had to be taken off the field on a stretcher due to a gruesome right leg injury in the third quarter.
The Argonauts defeated the defending champion Montreal Alouettes 30-28 in the CFL’s East Division final on Saturday, but now we have to figure out if they will continue the year without Kelly.
Kelly could be seen grabbing his leg after a play as he broke his ankle late in the third quarter.

Kelly threw 11-for-22 for 182 yards, one TD, and two interceptions before the gruesome injury.
His backup, Nick Arbuckle, went 5-for-8 for 73 yards.
Arbuckle appears to be the man going forward who will be a starter in the Grey Cup game next Sunday in Vancouver.

REPORT: Former Broncos QB Chad Kelly Sued By Female Ex-Coach Over Disturbing Allegations

Chad Kelly is in some trouble North of the border.
A woman who worked as a strength and conditioning coach for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League is suing the team for wrongful dismissal, saying the team’s star quarterback Chad Kelly allegedly harassed her and that the team fired her after she rejected his advances, according to a report from TSN.
The unnamed coach, who worked for the Argos from 2018 through to January 2024, filed the lawsuit on Wednesday in Ontario Superior Court in Toronto.
The plaintiff in the lawsuit alleges that Chad Kelly “repeatedly sought to initiate romantic connections… by asking [her] out on numerous occasions. Despite [her] polite refusals, Chad persisted in his advances, displaying a pattern of behavior that raised concerns.”
The lawsuit also alleges that “a member of the Argonauts informed [the plaintiff] that on Nov. 5, 2023, while on the team bus, [Kelly] publicly accused [the plaintiff] of engaging in romantic relations with another team member.”
The coach’s contract was not renewed by the Argos in January.

The female staffer is suing Kelly for $50,000 for allegedly violating the Ontario Human Rights Code. She is additionally suing the Argos for $85,714, claiming wrongful dismissal, TSN reported.
In her lawsuit, she is alleging that the Argos condoned the harassment and a toxic work environment. She added the team allegedly breached the CFL violence-against-women policy by not submitting an incident report to the league’s head office, the report said.
Chad Kelly is no stranger to trouble. He went north to the Canadian Football League after his Broncos career crashed in 2018 following an incident that resulted in a guilty plea for misdemeanor second-degree trespassing.
His career in the NFL fizzled out, but he found success in the CFL. Last year, he was selected as the league’s most outstanding player.
