On Sunday, NFL referee Carl Paganelli was a part of the crew officiating the game between the Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Of course, injuries are a very normal part of a football game, but usually it involves the players. However, Paganelli was involved in a very scary collision with a player on Tampa Bay.
It was unintentional, and it happened after he caught a call after a punt. According to Nick Carboni of WCNC, he accidentally got hit and was immediately seen in pain from an apparent leg injury.
There has not been any confirmation of it being too serious, but Paganelli still needed to be carted off the field.

Luckily, there haven’t been any negative repercussions for the officiating crew, even though they were down a man

On Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars host the Houston Texans in an AFC South showbowl between the first- and last-place teams. For the first time since November 3, quarterback Trevor Lawrence saw the field.
Unfortunately, his time in the game did not last long after a brutal illegal hit by Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair. It came as Lawrence slid to the ground after rushing for a first down, and Al-Shaair launched himself at Trevor’s head.
Lawrence was completely out of it and could not get up alone. He later had to be carted off the field.
It was unlikely, but there was hope that it was nothing serious. Later, reports indicated that he suffered a concussion and had to be replaced by Mac Jones

Trevor Lawrence Has Had Bad Luck With Injuries
Just based on how violent the injury looked, it’s unlikely that Lawrence will be healthy enough to clear concussion protocol for next week.
Of course, the injuries aren’t his fault, but he has struggled with them badly this year.
He missed the two previous games because of a shoulder injury sustained in Week 9 against the Eagles.
