NFL fans are ripping on Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen for a humiliating flop that somehow drew a “roughing the passer” penalty late in their Week 6 Monday night game against the New York Jets.
The game was tied 20-20 with just over five minutes remaining when Javon Kinlaw was penalized for “roughing the passer” on Josh Allen. Instead of a 3rd-and-11 situation at the Jets 19-yard line, the Bills were given a fresh set of downs and set up Tyler Bass for the go-ahead field goal:

Allen indeed did a good job selling that contact to draw a flag. And social media wasted no time teeing off on the 28-year-old signal-caller for a tremendous acting job to draw the penalty:

Even if Josh Allen didn’t draw the flag, there’s a strong chance that kicker Tyler Bass would have made a field goal under 40 yards anyway. Still, it was another mind-numbing call by the NFL officials that just can’t happen.
Josh Allen & Bills Have AFC East On Cruise Control
A victory for Aaron Rodgers’ Jets would have put them in sole possession of first in the AFC East. Instead, Sean McDermott and the Bills are sitting comfortably at 4-2 4-2 with the division firmly in their grasp.
The Miami Dolphins are second in the division with a 2-3 record, but they’re not a threat for the division until/unless Tua Tagovailoa returns. By then, the division may be far out of reach.

ESPN is one of the NFL’s top broadcasting partners, so it only makes sense for them to acquire some of the top broadcasting talent. The fact that Joe Buck is on their main roster speaks volumes about his talent.
Following a nearly three-decade broadcasting career at Fox Sports, Buck joined ESPN in 2022 as a play-by-play announcer for both MLB and the NFL, so obviously, he covered quite the span of topics in his 30-year career.
One of the most prominent storylines the NFL has ever seen is the relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Fans have been following the world’s biggest pop star and the NFL’s best tight end since they got together in 2023, and analysts, by default, have to follow it, too.
After broadcast partner Troy Aikman referred to Swift as “the missus” during Monday Night Football, Buck quickly corrected his cohort’s mistake, asking Aikman if he knew the couple wasn’t yet married.
Joe Buck’s Daughters Told Him Not To Joke About Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce
Aikman joked that he was “in trouble” for the mishap, to which Buck replied that it happens all the time before explaining that his daughters were constantly warning him about joking at the relationship’s expense.

“My daughters have warned me multiple times today, ‘Dad, I know you think you’re funny. Don’t make any jokes,’” Buck said. It doesn’t seem like he was too bothered by his assumed Swifty daughter’s warnings. However, he did adhere to their warnings.
While the two may have been laughing in the broadcast booth, there is no doubt that Kelce, Swift, and the Chiefs got the last laugh on Monday Night Football as they took a 26-13 victory over the New Orleans Saints to remain undefeated in 2024.
