Angel Reese showed her support for her alma mater basketball team through a social media post on Monday. The WNBA has transitioned into the offseason after the NY Liberty lifted the championship.

However, college basketball is returning and the Chicago Sky star made a post on her X handle, rooting for the LSU Tigers.

“College Basketball is backkkk!! GEAUX TIGERSSSSSSSSS,” Reese tweeted.

Angel Reese had made quite a name for herself as a collegiate basketball player. Her popularity and fans transitioned into the WNBA when she was drafted as the seventh pick in the 2024 Draft. Her transition to a professional basketball player also brought many new eyes to the league.

The Chicago Sky star did not start her collegiate basketball journey at the LSU Tigers. She initially was a power forward in the starting lineup of Maryland University. Reese helped Maryland reach a Sweet 16 finish in the NCAA tournament in her freshman season.

It was during her junior year that Angel Reese decided to transfer to Lousiana State University. She helped the Tigers secure their first NCAA tournament after defeating Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes with a score of 102-85. Reese netted 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in that game.

Reese has become a crucial player in Tigers history and her support for the college team is proof of her love and support for her alma mater.
