Team USA, often regarded as the most successful team in international competitions, amazed everyone with a dominating 86-82 win against Team Canada in an exhibition game on Wednesday. The 2024 Paris Olympics are just a few weeks away, and all the teams are giving their best in the training camps to prepare for the games. During the exhibition game against Canada, Anthony Edwards gave a stellar performance that helped Team USA clinch the win.

Edwards, also known as Ant-Man, finished the game with 13 points. Stephen Curry scored 12 points for the United States, and Anthony Davis finished with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks. Jrue Holiday amazed the fans with 11 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in 19 minutes, while LeBron James had seven points, five rebounds, three steals, and three assists.

During an interview after the game, Edwards was asked whether he was the best option to lead the side. The Minnesota Timberwolves star responded sarcastically and asked for the reporter’s opinion. Edwards played it safe with his words to avoid any controversies.

Edwards consistently performed well for the Timberwolves in the recent season. He led his team to the Conference finals, ultimately losing to the Dallas Mavericks. During their road to conference finals, Edwards and the Timberwolves defeated Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns during the round 1 series of the playoffs. However, the 22-year-old guard recently shared his excitement about playing alongside Durant in Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

According to Joe Vardon of The Athletic, Anthony Edwards is excited to play alongside the two-time NBA Champion, Kevin Durant. However, Durant missed his exhibition game for Team USA against Canada due to a calf injury. Grant Hill of Team USA assured fans that Durant will recover soon and be back on track shortly

“I can’t wait to play alongside him. … I definitely still got butterflies there waiting for that to happen, ” Edwards said.
