There was reportedly an incident involving Zach Ertz and Nick Sirianni.

Jayden Daniels threw his fifth touchdown pass of the game with 6 seconds left to give the Washington Commanders a 36-33 victory over the Eagles, but somehow, that would become a footnote to what happened after the game was over.

The Washington Commanders pulled off one of the most improbable comeback wins of the 2024 season. However, there was reportedly an incident after the Eagles vs Commanders game involving Philadephia head coach Nick Sirianni and Washington TE Zach Ertz.

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Nick Sirianni and Ertz “had to be separated by Eagles chief security officer Dom DiSandro.”

The report added that “their brief dust-up saw Ertz take exception to a comment Sirianni made about his performance in the game.”

It turns out the incident between them was over a handshake.

Sources close to the incident stated Ertz initially wanted to shake Sirianni’s hand and could tell the coach was agitated by the loss. Instead, he decided to give him a high five.

Nick Sirianni became enraged over the intensity of Ertz’s hand slap and mocked him since he only had one catch and did close to nothing to contribute to the Commanders’ victory.

Ertz took exception and got in Sirianni’s face, but they were separated.

This was shocking news since Ertz spent eight-plus seasons with the Eagles before he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals midway through 2021.

He remains second in franchise history in receptions (579) and fifth in receiving yards (6,267).

Nick Sirianni Calls Zach Ertz After Altercation

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni and Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz “had to be separated by Eagles chief security officer Dom DiSandro” after Philly’s 36-33 loss to Washington.

According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Sirianni reached out to Zach Ertz to apologize.

Luka Doncic Receives Concerning Injury Update That Might Shatter Mavs Star’s MVP Hopes This Season

Luka Dončić’s Concerning Injury Update Raises Doubts About His MVP Hopes and the Mavericks’ Success This SeasonLuka Doncic (Image Credit: Getty Images)
Luka Doncic has suffered a major blow to his NBA aspirations this season. One of the major pillars of strength for the Dallas Mavericks, Doncic, will be missing one full month of action. In one of the heartbreaking incidents, the Slovenian suffered a calf strain while playing against the Timberwolves. As the Mavericks lost the match 99-105, Doncic, too, was taken under medical supervision.

After careful evaluation, Doncic was deemed unfit to play for a month. His status will be revisited once again in four weeks, as per the latest reports. “Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic will be re-evaluated in one month after sustaining a left calf strain on Christmas Day, sources tell ESPN,” wrote Shams Charania on his X account. This update means that the 2019 Rookie of the Year will be missing 16 games for his team.

Now, the Mavericks would surely bear the brunt of their star prospect sitting out. But the missed games might shatter Doncic’s MVP dreams. The 5x All-Star has been in some serious form this season. Doncic has averaged 28.1 points, 7.8 assists, and 8.3 rebounds so far. Thus, it was highly expected that Doncic would be a primary candidate in the MVP race. Unfortunately, with the Slovenian suffering the injury, he might have to wait for another year to fulfill his dreams. Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks star recently delved into the possibility of him winning the NBA MVP.

Luka Doncic Gives Priority To His Team

Luka Doncic’s calf injury is not the only injury he has suffered this season. Right from the beginning, the 25-year-old has been ravaged with injuries. In the initial months, Doncic missed six games due to a wrist injury. Next up, a heel contusion resulted in the 5x All-Star sitting out for a couple of games. While these breaks cause a major barrier to his MVP chances, Doncic remains fairly unperturbed.
