NBA legend Paul Pierce needs all of the prayers right now as he revealed he is in hospital with a gruesome finger injury.

The Boston Celtics great startled followers when he posted a picture of himself in a hospital bed on Instagram. He also posted images of a horrific finger injury he had, with blood and deep cuts all over his hand.

Paul Pierce’s fingertip looks to be turned away from the remainder of his finger; what caused this is unknown.

NBA and Celtics supporters were concerned about Pierce’s injuries, but Pierce’s remark suggests that he will recover well from surgery.

After fifteen seasons as a Boston fan favorite, Paul Pierce is still revered as a Celtics great. Drafted in 1998, Pierce spent most of his playing career in Boston, winning a title in 2008 and being named Finals MVP. In 2010, he guided the Celtics to yet another Finals appearance, but they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Following his tenure in Boston, Pierce played for the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles Clippers before retiring from the NBA in 2017, per Wikipedia.

Pierce has been showing his support for the current team as Boston advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals for a third straight season after handling the Cleveland Cavaliers and will now face either the New York Knicks or Indiana Pacers.

Former NBA player turned sports analyst Paul Pierce was discussing Sunday’s New York Knicks loss to the Indiana Pacers with co-hosts Skip Bayless and Keyshawn Johnson when he casually dropped the ‘N’ word effortlessly while on live television.

Co-host Skip Bayless clearly heard it as he looked on in shock, but he chose to let it go.

It’s likely that the FCC took offense to Pierce using the n-word on FS1. Undoubtedly, it garnered more attention for Undisputed than it had since Shannon Sharpe left Bayless’s program last summer.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his wife Emily have had to evacuate their home this week because of Hurricane Helene.

The hurricane hit northern Florida pretty hard, causing major flooding and power loss.

Mayfield, his wife Emily, their daughter, and their dog left their residence before the storm hit as a means of caution. Emily furnished her followers with an update on Friday.

“Baker, Koko, Fergus and I evacuated yesterday and are safe,” she said via Instagram. “Our sweet, sweet community got pummeled, but even that doesn’t compare to the people up North who took this storm head on. It’s unfathomable.”

Emily is grateful that Helene did not affect the Mayfield home but revealed she was “praying nonstop” for the people dealing with the impact while also offering tangible assistance.

“I am looking for ways to get out and tangibly help,” she added. “Please send me anything you find, and I will share the good ones.”
