Connecticut Sun star DiJonai Carrington made a cameo in the team’s video about their upcoming schedule in the 2025 WNBA season. Connecticut uploaded a funny video depicting a weather forecast as their way of announcing their schedule against each team in the WNBA.
As the weather girl was making fake forecasts for each city, she also teased and hilariously roasted teams like the Aces and Liberty while describing their fake weather conditions. Then towards the end of the video, DiJonai Carrington appeared as one of the studio’s main anchors next to the Sun’s official mascot.
WNBA fans were in shambles and couldn’t help but react to the playful video. Here’s what some said on X, formerly Twitter:
“Pettiness continues northeast!! 😂😂😂”
“I was wondering if @DijonaiVictoria wrote this and then she popped up at the end. I’m here for it.”
Here are some other reactions on X:
“Sun bringing the Heat with some lite shade ‘weather’ you like it or not lol 😆,” one tweeted.
“Everyone is clocking NY 😂😂😂 Its either this or the sky that will take the crown for this shades cuz WNBA started early this season,” another tweeted.
“I speak for everyone when i say we will be watching,” one said.
“How Carrington hasn’t won a Peabody is baffling. CT Sun Times’ most trusted source,” another said.
Looking at Connecticut Sun’s 2025 WNBA season schedule
With five months away from the commencement of the 2025 WNBA season, the New York Liberty are coming off a historic achievement, winning their first WNBA title in franchise history. Now with the new season coming in, teams without any titles in their franchise yet will be looking to accomplish what Liberty did.
For instance, the Connecticut Sun are yet to win a title. Last season, the Sun had a good season. They made a deep playoff run, making it all the way to the semi-finals. However, they got knocked out by the Minnesota Lynx.
This coming season, the Connecticut Sun will be looking to get past the semi-finals. However, before they can think about the 2025 WNBA Playoffs, they’ll need to get past the regular season first, which commences on May 16, 2025.
