Texas quarterback Arch Manning’s mother was trending on social media after his big game for the Longhorns this weekend.

Manning got an opportunity to play some meaningful football for Texas after starter Quinn Ewers went down injured against UTSA on Saturday evening.

He threw for 223 yards and four touchdowns, turning on the afterburners for a 67-yard run which went into the record books as the longest by a Texas QB since Vince Young.

While the performance hardly means he will take over as the starter, excitement is brimming, with fans now looking forward to what he will offer the Longhorns as QB1 next season.

Arch Manning’s Mother Was Turning Heads

While Manning was the talk of the night, his mother also went viral online after his dad, Cooper Manning, joked that the youngster got his speed from her.

“Definitely got his speed from mom,” he wrote as the caption to an Instagram photo showing the three of them.

“🧡🧡🧡 of course and looks!” one fan wrote.

“Class act. Good looking family. Hook em Arch!” another commented.

Meanwhile, Saturday’s win left Texas boasting a 3-0 record, and Paul Finebaum was singing Manning’s praises after the monster performance.

“Book it. Arch Manning is going to win the Heisman. I am in on that,” Finebaum said, per Awful Announcing.

“By the way, his granddad and Peyton probably should have won it, and Arch will. Can you imagine? He’s replacing a Heisman favorite right now. I don’t know if he’ll win it this year, but Arch Manning will definitely win the Heisman at Texas.”

Former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre has taken a swipe at pop sensation Taylor Swift for political reasons ahead of the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.

The 11-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro is known to be a supporter of former President Donald Trump and has previously endorsed him.

He’s since taken a shot at Swift, who recently endorsed Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris following Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes informing everyone that he wouldn’t endorse a candidate.

“Good take by Mahomes,” he wrote in a tweet.

“I see a lot of celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting the people think for themselves. If the best choice for them ain’t clear and they’re easily swayed by their fav pop artist, it’s not going to be a good thing.”
