For many fans of the WNBA, the fact they here so much about Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese probably made them assume that the pair would be in the USA Basketball squad for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Despite being in the WNBA All-Star game recently, Clark and Reese were not called up for the team that is currently preparing to take on Nigeria in the quarter-final, having waltzed through the preliminary round.
Flau’jae Johnson has shared some details as to just what it takes to represent the USA at the Olympics and fight for a gold medal, and Reese and Clark may want to listen.

Explaining further, she said: “They’ve been doing that for a long time so it’s kind of like they already kind of had a team basically together and practicing. But I think, they [Clark and Reese] could play on that team right now. With the talent they got, they’re obviously two of the top players in the league. So, I think they definitely could have played but we still gonna get that gold. We still dominating. It’s all good.”
Johnson was present at the All-Star game and said of the experience: “That was the first time that I got to watch a real game ’cause I was traveling so much. I got to see all of my favorite players. I was just trying to meet everybody, I was like a kid in the candy store.”
