Henry Ruggs was slated to be one of the best receivers in NFL history after being drafted in the first round of the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The then-21-year-old receiver was set up to have generational wealth if he stayed out of trouble.
Unfortunately, that wouldn’t be in the cards for the now-25-year-old’s future as he is currently serving a 3-to-10-year sentence for getting behind the wheel while drunk, speeding, and killing Las Vegas resident TIna Tintor and her beloved dog.
Most prisons have jobs that prisoners can do, and Ruggs’ extreme fall from grace has now officially been revealed, and his new salary has been made available to the public. Compared to what he could have had, it’s a very unfortunate circumstance.
Ruggs is considered a “low-risk inmate,” identified as a “community trusty,” and allowed to work in government offices for $2.50 an hour. He is currently said to be working at the Nevada Government Mansion doing basically all the housework, yard work, and manual labor.
Henry Ruggs Is Currently Making $2.50 An Hour
Ruggs’ $2.50 an hour is a far cry from what he made throughout the first year of his rookie NFL contract, that being roughly $1.4 million a month, but considering where he is in his life now, he can’t really complain.
The former NFLer accumulated 469 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 24 receptions through just seven games in his 2021 season, which was cut short by a terrible incident the young receiver had experienced.
While he may never sniff the NFL playing field again, we can only hope that he has learned from his mistakes and will never do anything nearly as reckless and dangerous when he is possibly released in three to ten years.
Kansas City Chiefs Acquire Two-Time All-Pro From AFC Rival In Blockbuster Trade Proposal That Would Make Patrick Mahomes Unstoppable

A giant trade proposal has the Kansas City Chiefs offense getting even more dangerous with the addition of a two-time All-Pro from an AFC rival.
In February, the Kansas City Chiefs became the first team to repeat as Super Bowl champions since the 2003 and ’04 New England Patriots. Up next, Kansas City will try to become the first team in NFL history to perform the three-peat.
GM Brett Veach made two splashy moves to improve the offense this offseason, signing former 1,000-yard wideout Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown to a one-year deal before using his first-round pick on Texas wideout Xavier Worthy.
If there’s one question mark on the Chiefs’ offense, it’s the left tackle position. They never re-signed Donovan Smith, and 2023 third-round pick Wanya Morris is currently slotted in as the starter.
Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine proposed a massive trade idea that has the Chiefs addressing the void at tackle by acquiring Cleveland Browns superstar and two-time First-Team All-Pro Jack Conklin:
“Finding a tackle solution at this stage in the game is never easy, but the Cleveland Browns’ tackle situation could open up an opportunity. Jack Conklin is a proven veteran but when he went down with a knee injury in last season’s opener it paved the way for Dawand Jones to put together a surprisingly strong campaign as a rookie.
Jones suffered his own knee injury that ended his season, but he proved he could be the team’s starter. If the Browns feel he could be ready by Week 1 it could create the opportunity for the Chiefs to get a new starter.
This would require either Conklin or Taylor to make the switch to left but that still feels safer than relying on Morris and Suamataia this year.”This would require either Conklin or Taylor to make the switch to left but that still feels safer than relying on Morris and Suamataia this year.”
Late in the 2022 season, the Browns handed Conklin a four-year contract extension worth $60 million that keeps him under contract through the 2026 campaign. So the Kansas City Chiefs would have to perform some cap gymnastics to fit Conklin under their cap long-term.
But if Conklin is available for the right price, the Chiefs should definitely inquire about a trade and try to add that one last missing piece on their o-line.
