A recent report of Haliey Welch, aka the Hawk Tuah girl, allegedly suing the interviewers behind the viral ‘Hawk Tuah’ clip, is currently making rounds on the internet. Instagrammer Reyahthelastdragon claimed on October 4 that she once came across a video related to the incident on October 3.

The creator of the video reportedly felt bad for the interviewer as Haliey benefited way more than he ever did. In the comment section, the ‘Hawk Tuah’ video’s interviewer, D Marlo, agreed with the creator and alleged that she was trying to sue them. He also said that she might be trying to sue him for the rights to the video.

A similar claim started making rounds on X as well, where the creator of the video said that the Hawk Tuah girl is now suing the person who interviewed her. Once the claim went viral, netizens took to the platform to criticize Welch and express their disbelief over the entire situation.

“No way this is real”, wrote one X user.

Others also felt the same way and condemned Haliey for the alleged move. They even said that she had “no talent to sue” and she was wrong for suing the people who made her “rich and famous.”

“@HalieyWelchX you really suing the guys that made you go viral?” asked one user.

“She literally is only known for talking about spitting on a dudes c*ck ain’t no talents to sue over tf”, criticized another one.

“Suing the people who made you rich and famous for making you rich and famous is CRAZY”, wrote another one.

“She chose to be interviewed and speak which means she’s gonna be real disappointed when she gets laughed at by any sane judge (…and that’s if it even makes it to court it will get thrown out immediately)”, one X user said, matter of factly.

Not everyone criticized Welch. Some even expressed their irritation over the video and Welch.

“Can we stop with this stupid a*s joke now”, one user requested.

“Cringe”, said another user.

Whether or not Haliey Welch aka the Hawk Tuah girl is using the creators is yet to be known

The reports of Welch allegedly suing the interviewer behind her viral clip started making rounds on the internet after a July 9, 2024 report of Unilad claimed that the creators of the viral Hawk Tuah video allegedly demanded credit after ‘missing out’ on the fame.

It all started when Welch went viral on TikTok for answering Tim & Dee TV’s question where they asked what a person can do in bed that always drives a man crazy.

She replied that a woman has to do ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on “that thing.”

Now, as per Unilad’s same report, 25-year-old Tim Dickerson and 24-year-old DeArius Marlow, aka Tim & Dee, are reportedly unhappy that they aren’t getting credit for the clip.

Meanwhile, speaking to The New York Times on July 3, Marlow said,

“At the end of the day, nobody would know who she was if we didn’t bring it to light and post it. A lot of the audience who hadn’t seen us before think we grew off this one clip. People were treating it like we’re nobodies and didn’t already have a platform.”

On the other hand, Welch has managed to trademark the phrase ‘Hawk Tuah’ for comedy and apparel purposes and apparently shook hands with Shaq.

However, as per Reyahthelastdragon’s October 4 Instagram video, she saw a YouTube video related to the same on October 3. In the comment section of the video, somebody asked how she could sue the creators behind her viral clip for a video she decided to be a part of.

The creator, D Marlo, then replied,

“Exactly. She’s not a victim. She’s a volunteer. We ain’t forced that girl to be there. She ran up on us wanting to be on video and told us to post it.”

Additionally, X user @PicturesFoIder also uploaded a video on October 6 claiming the same.

However, the authenticity of the report has yet to be confirmed, and neither Haliey nor Tim Dickerson has said anything about the whole thing.
