Las Vegas Aces guard Kelsey Plum believes her teammate A’ja Wilson is the undisputed WNBA MVP this season. Plum stressed that Wilson’s dominance on both ends of the floor sets her apart from the competition, and that any decision other than Wilson for MVP would be an injustice to the sport.

Wilson‘s season has been nothing short of historic. She is averaging 26.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.6 blocks, 2.3 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, making a strong case for the league’s top honor.

In addition to her impressive stats, Wilson recently became the first player in WNBA history to score over 1,000 points in a single season, while also setting a new league record for the most rebounds in a season with 451, and one game still remaining in the regular season.

“If she’s not the unanimous MVP, I have conspiracy theories,” Plum told SB Nation. 2I mean, I really will. I don’t even know who else you put in the conversation, to be honest.”

Wilson’s contributions have been crucial to the Aces‘ success as they aim for a third consecutive WNBA championship.

The team has been on a hot streak, winning four consecutive games and nine of their last 11. With a 26-13 record, the Aces are currently in fourth place, with their final regular-season game against the Dallas Wings on the horizon.

Hailed her teammates

Despite her incredible individual achievements, Wilson has remained grounded, crediting her teammates for helping her reach new heights. She acknowledged that the support of her fellow Aces players has allowed her to perform at her best and achieve these milestones.

“I hope y’all know how much I love y’all,” she said.

“Each and every last one of y’all. Y’all never understand how much y’all mean to me, because there’s days where I hate being A’ja Wilson. I hate it. But when I come into work, and I see y’all smiling, and I see y’all just happy, it makes me who I am. I am so grateful to have terammates like y’all.”
