Zhuri was seen speaking in the trailer for Netflix’s upcoming docuseries ‘Starting 5’
For most, LeBron James is one of the greatest athletes of all time, but to his daughter, Zhuri James, he’s simply dad.
In the upcoming Netflix docuseries Starting 5, LeBron will be featured alongside fellow NBA stars Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, and Domantas Sabonis.
In the show’s newly released trailer, Zhuri offers a heartwarming perspective on her father.
“Everyone thinks our dad is the legend of basketball, but he’s just like a normal person,” Zhuri said, showing that even for a global sports icon, family life grounds him.
Starting 5 will provide fans with a behind-the-scenes look into the personal lives of some of the NBA’s top players.
For LeBron, this offers a chance to showcase a side of himself that many may not see-the devoted father.
While the world knows him as “King James,” at home, he’s a dad who’s deeply involved in his children’s lives.
Whether attending his sons Bryce and Bronny’s basketball games or supporting Zhuri at her volleyball matches, LeBron is known for being present at key moments.
Being a father LeBron’s priority
Despite the demanding schedule of an NBA superstar, LeBron has made it a priority to bond with his children.
A memorable moment of their close relationship was captured in a live Instagram session where LeBron, Bryce, and Bronny playfully bantered while shooting hoops on their driveway.
This playful interaction showed a different side of LeBron, one that fans rarely see.
LeBron’s commitment to being an active father stems from his own experiences growing up in a single-parent household, where his father was mostly absent.
He’s determined to give his children the love and presence that he missed out on as a child.
The new docuseries, Starting 5, is set to premiere on Netflix on October 9, providing fans with another look into LeBron’s life beyond the basketball court.
