Michael Jordan’s representatives have addressed reports claiming the former NBA superstar has endorsed Republican candidate Donald Trump ahead of Tuesday’s presidential election.

Rumors of MJ backing Trump against Kamala Harris surfaced on social media this week, with several big-name athletes, including LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Nick Bosa, making their political stances clear in the buildup to the big day.

Jordan, however, is not among the top sports figures who have publicly supported a candidate, with the six-time NBA champion’s reps reaching out to the Daily Mail denying His Airness has endorsed the former POTUS.

“There is absolutely no truth to the claim that Michael Jordan has made an endorsement in the presidential election,” they told the outlet in a statement.

Michael Jordan Has Stayed Away From Politics And Activism For As Long As He’s Been Famous

Of course, given how private Jordan is, the above is pretty easy to believe.

It’s hardly known who he supports, while he mostly stays off social media.

Jordan also avoided politics while he was playing and famously opted not to publicly support Democrat Harvey Gantt before a Senate election in his home state of North Carolina in 1990.

“Republicans buy sneakers, too,” he said back then.

Well, Jordan is still selling sneakers, which plenty of Democrats wear. So it would be a real surprise to see him back a candidate now.

Even so, the former Chicago Bulls shooting guard said he supported LeBron James after the Lakers star got involved in a back-and-forth with Trump in 2018.

Jordan did reveal in ‘The Last Dance’ that, although he did not back Gantt in the early 90s, he made a significant contribution to his campaign.

Nick Bosa may have landed himself in hot water with the NFL following his actions after the San Francisco 49ers beat the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.

The Niners enjoyed a 30-24 win over Dallas in the ‘SNF’ fixture. Quarterback Brock Purdy had a stellar game, completing 18 of 26 passing attempts for 260 yards and a touchdown while showing some surprising athleticism as a scrambler.

Bosa also had an impressive outing as he made life pretty difficult for the Cowboys offensive line, also making three tackles, a sack, and two QB hits.

After the game, he popped up behind Purdy while the QB was being interviewed and pointed to his “Make America Great Again” hat before running toward the locker room.
