Golden State Warriors star forward Andrew Wiggins recently announced the passing of his father, former NBA shooting guard Mitchell Wiggins. The Wiggins family held a private funeral in his honor, and Andrew’s brother, Nick Wiggins, penned a heartfelt note for his father, which made the fans emotional on social media.

Andrew Wiggins’ father was a former Houston Rockets guard who played in the Greek basketball league. Mitchell Wiggins won the scoring award twice in the Greek League. The 2015 Rookie of the Year missed a few games last season due to his father’s serious medical condition.

Mitchell Wiggins, father of six, passed away at the age of 64 on September 9, and Nick shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram handle for his late father. Nick described his relationship with Mitchell as “1 of 1; like Father, like Son.” Nick concluded, “Rest easy Pops. You’re a legend.”

Nick took time to reconcile with his loss and shared a wholesome message for his late father on Monday. Andrew Wiggins’ wife, Mychal Johnson, offered her support on Instagram, while many fans left emotional comments on the post.

The Canadian basketball star’s sister, Angey Wiggins, took the picture with her father to Instagram and posted it with an emotional message. She wrote, “Rest easy. You’ll forever be missed. I love you forever, Daddy.”

Just over 19 months have passed since seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady announced he was retiring from the NFL, and somehow he is back.

Brady will make his long-awaited broadcast debut when he joins lead play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt in the FOX booth for “America’s Game of the Week.”

The Cleveland Browns host the Dallas Cowboys for the nationally televised Week 1 game. Erin Andrews will be the sideline reporter, and feature contributor Tom Rinaldi will also join Burkhardt and Brady on the weekly NFL broadcasts.

Tom Brady already has fans upset hours before his debut.

On Sunday, Brady, who is replacing Greg Olsen inside FOX’s No. 1 announcing booth in 2024, joined FOX’s NFL Sunday to preview his broadcasting debut.
