Dutch speed skater Joy Beune is gaining thousands of fans after she just posed for Playboy.
The Dutch speed skating world champion posed for the cover of Playboy magazine for the first time in her homeland.
The December issue of the magazine went on sale in the Netherlands this week, and the 25-year-old shocked everybody by being on the cover and wearing nothing but a pair of gloves.
Joy Beune is viewed as the biggest name for Dutch Playboy to pose in over a decade.
The 25-year-old reportedly had her magazines sell out, and a reprint is already happening as we speak.
Beune, the current women’s world champion in the winter sport, had the magazine editor state that this has “never happened before.”
“In the eleven years that Pijper Media has been publishing our magazine, something like this has never happened,” editor-in-chief Niek Stolker told a Dutch media industry website.
“Books are reprinted, but that is not usually the case with magazines.”
Even Joy Beune was taken by the incredible sales her appearance generated.
“That is very nice to hear,” Beune said. “I would not have expected that so many copies would be sold. I expected a lot of criticism, but I only hear nice messages from everyone around me and that they think it’s incredibly cool.”
Joy Beune Is More Than Just A Pretty Face
Joy Beune is getting a ton of attention for posing nude in Playboy.
It should not be ignored that her talent has gotten her to this point.
The Dutch speed skater won the silver medal at the 2017 World Junior Speed Skating Championships in Warsaw and got even better when she became the junior world champion at Utah’s 2018 World Junior Speed Skating Championships.
Buene also won the 1000 m, 1500 m, and 3000 m events and set world junior records at these distances.
Beune, who has 302,000 followers on Instagram, became the all-around speed skating world champion in 2024.

There’s a conspiracy theory for just about everything, including bizarre ones relating to the highly publicized relationship between Grammy Award-winning singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
The three-time Super Bowl champion has been in a relationship with Taylor Swift for over a year. Their rumored romance was confirmed when Swift attended the Chiefs’ Week 3, 2023 home game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.
Kelce’s romance with Swfit has been a giant win for the Chiefs and the NFL, too. She has brought plenty more attention to the NFL and contributed to the Chiefs’ skyrocketing popularity worldwide.
Naturally, conspiracy theorists believe the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance is simply a marketing ploy to help the Chiefs and the league. But Chiefs president Mark Donovan finally addressed the ridiculous rumor during an appearance on NBC’s “Squawk Box” program:
“I’d love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship. And we’re happy to have it, and it’s been nothing but good for us.
I think the best thing I can say about the whole relationship and the impact it’s had on us is, Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom. She’s an authentic fan and that matters to our fans and our fan base and to matters to us and we try to respect that.”
