Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has thrown some shade at teammate and good friend Travis Kelce by suggesting that Taylor Swift is in charge of their relationship.

Travis and Taylor have been dating for around a year now, and she obviously wields some influence. However, a curious comment from the QB implied he believes she has control over the tight end’s appearance, more so his hair.

Speaking as a guest on SiriusXM NFL Radio this week, Mahomes claimed Swift has gotten Kelce to grow his hair out, something he has been trying to get him to do for a while.

“I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out and all of a sudden Taylor gets him to do it,” he joked (H/T Billboard).

Travis Kelce Might Mae Patrick Mahomes Happy And Sport A Different Look Next Season

Kelce has been keeping his hair short for some time. He rocked a fade last season, which fans branded the “Travis Kelce” haircut, although it has been around forever. But he’s growing his hair out this summer and might attract some questions based on what his teammate said.

Of course, he’s unlikely to confirm that Swift had anything to do with it as he’s been mostly mum when it comes to her.

“You wanna keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to, like, hide anything,” he said during a recent appearance on ‘Bussin’ With the Boys.’ “That’s my girl. You know what I mean? That’s my lady, so it’s, like, I’m proud of that. I’m not sitting here trying to juggle, like, ‘How can I keep this under wraps. You just don’t want to let everybody into your personal life and be able to comment on it knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.”

We’ll just have to take Mahomes’ word for it.

Kevin Durant has wrapped up the Paris Olympics in remarkable fashion, becoming the only player in history to win four gold medals in men’s basketball. After returning from injury to lead Team USA, Durant’s performance has fueled high expectations for the Phoenix Suns in the upcoming NBA season.

Amid this success, Durant’s time with the Golden State Warriors has come back into focus, especially through the words of his mother, Wanda Durant. Wanda recently boldly stated that if Team USA’s top scorer had stayed with the Warriors team, they could have dominated the league for years.

We would’ve had 20 rings by now. And it was about 10 years ago. That’s how cold they were,” Wanda said on the latest episode of TV One’s “Raising Fame.

Durant joined the Warriors in 2016 and quickly made an impact, leading the team to two consecutive championships in 2017 and 2018. However, after the 2018 season, Durant left Golden State and signed with the Brooklyn Nets. He departed after a difficult 2019 NBA Finals, where he suffered a ruptured Achilles while playing against the Toronto Raptors.
