Phoenix Mercury guard Sophie Cunningham has been going viral more for her outfits than her actual good play on the court during the 2024 season.

The Phoenix Mercury player went incredibly viral entering the Footprint Arena ahead of the game with a caption straight from the show “Love Island.”

“This week a hot new bombshell enters the villa,” the team wrote on X.

Sophie Cunningham gave her best model walk and poses as she wore the tiniest dress she could find, which not only showed off her tan lines but was clear enough to notice she was bra-less and panty-less.

As of this writing, the video has been seen over 3 million times.

It did not appear everyone was on board with what the team posted and how Sophie Cunningham was dressed to get ready to play in a game.

“But it’s about Basketball, right?? More attention to the drama of the WNBA and what the women are wearing then actually hooping,” one fan said.

“I’ve seen episodes of Love Island, I would never want to imply that 1 of the professional basketball players on my roster is anything like those girls,” another fan tweeted.

On Tuesday, Sophie Cunningham appeared to break her silence on the matter. She took to TikTok and posted a video of herself walking into the arena in her multi-colored dress.

The video starts out with her pointing at the camera and lip-singing to “Still Into You” by Paramore as the video transitions into her model video.

Sophie Cunningham had a great pregame outfit and model walk into her home arena but the good times would not last.

The Mercury would lose to the Liberty 84-70.

Cunningham only had two points and five rebounds on the night.

Nick Bosa may have landed himself in hot water with the NFL following his actions after the San Francisco 49ers beat the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.

The Niners enjoyed a 30-24 win over Dallas in the ‘SNF’ fixture. Quarterback Brock Purdy had a stellar game, completing 18 of 26 passing attempts for 260 yards and a touchdown while showing some surprising athleticism as a scrambler.

Bosa also had an impressive outing as he made life pretty difficult for the Cowboys offensive line, also making three tackles, a sack, and two QB hits.

After the game, he popped up behind Purdy while the QB was being interviewed and pointed to his “Make America Great Again” hat before running toward the locker room.
