The Philadelphia 76ers suffered another setback on Wednesday night, falling 111-117 to the Memphis Grizzlies. While the defeat left the team with a disappointing 2-12 record, the game was overshadowed by a devastating injury to their star player, Paul George.
The veteran forward, who joined this offseason from the Los Angeles Clippers, went down with a knee injury early in the third quarter. The injury occurred during a routine rebound when George landed awkwardly, hyperextending his knee.

Multiple angles of the incident revealed the severity of the injury and showed George in visible pain. This was particularly alarming as it involved the same knee he hyperextended during a preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks.

The sight of George writhing on the court prompted 76ers head coach Nick Nurse to call a timeout, and medical officials quickly assessed the situation. George was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
For the 76ers, George’s loss is a significant blow. George was already plagued by injuries this season and missed four games due to previous recovery efforts.
Nick Nurse Provides Update on Paul George’s Knee Injury
Head coach Nick Nurse shared an update on Paul George’s injury after the 76ers’ 117-111 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Nurse also admitted that George’s injury was like his previous knee injury.
“It was a hyperextension. Similar to the preseason and the same knee. I think maybe we’re gonna find out a little bit more tomorrow. Obviously, when they check it out to see the extent of it, but that’s what it was,” Nurse said.
Before leaving the game, George logged just 17 minutes on the court. He scored two points, grabbed four rebounds, dished out two assists, and recorded one steal. The game was notable for being the first time the 76ers’ trio of Paul George, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey played together.

Said supporter was pictured in the stands wearing a Devils Jack Hughes jersey, but that was probably the least interesting thing about her as a lower body part caused her to trend on X.
A new set of photos of her showing her assets off has popped up online ahead of the weekend, with one of the accounts posting asking, “Are you a hockey fan?”
