France star Gabby Williams is back in the WNBA following her performances at the Olympics.

Williams, born and raised in Nevada but whose mother is from France, led the home country to the gold medal game against Team USA and received lots of plaudits – although they fell short – hitting some clutch shots to keep the French in it down the stretch.

Her future became a topic of discussion after the games as it was suspected that she would attract interest from the WNBA, something which manifested this Tuesday as she’s been signed by the Seattle Storm.

Gabby Williams was the fourth-overall pick by the Chicago Sky in 2018 after starring at UConn but had been playing in Europe for some time. She joins the Storm until the end of the season, having previously played for them during the 2022/23 campaign.

“We’re thrilled to have Gabby back with the Storm,” head coach Noelle Quinn remarked. “Gabby is a dynamic player who brings tremendous versatility. She’s a two-way player that can guard multiple positions and has a strong offensive game; given her familiarity with our system, we know she can have an immediate impact.

“Gabby’s Olympic performance showcased her world-class talent, and we’re excited to have her join us as we push for the playoffs.”

Gabby Williams Missed Being In Seattle

The 5ft 11in forward averaged 8.4 points and 3.8 assists per game for Seattle in 2023 and has been brought in for extra firepower as the Storm looks to make a push in the final 13 games of the regular season.

“I’m so excited to be joining the Storm for the rest of the season,” she said. “I feel more than ready to finally return to Seattle. I’ve missed the organization, my teammates and the fans so much. I absolutely can’t wait to come back and finish the season strong.”

The Storm have a 17-10 record at the moment and trail the Minnesota Lynx and Las Vegas Aces in the standings. They’re scheduled to play the Washington Mystics this Tuesday evening.

Brittany Mahomes has hit back at her critics after the wife of the Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback was slammed for being caught liking a post related to the campaign of Donald Trump.

Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes, posted a strong but intriguing message on her Instagram story amid the significant backlash she has received.

The 28-year-old mother of two, soon to be three, “liked” one of the posts from the Republican nominee as many called for Tayor Swift to stop being around her.

Brittany Mahomes shared a quote from Shane Pruitt on Instagram: “Contrary to the tone of the world today… You can disagree with someone and still love them. You can have differing views and still be kind.”

Brittany herself appeared to send a message to her critics on social media by adding her own personal caption of, “Read that again!”
