San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey doesn’t look like he will be playing football anytime soon.
He continues to be sidelined with Achilles tendinitis, which led to him visiting a specialist in Germany.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday morning that Christian McCaffrey is not playing this week, further adding that the 49ers expect to have Christian McCaffrey back “at least by early November.”
That means he is most certainly out for all of next month.
Aside from today’s game against the New England Patriots, Christian McCaffrey will miss games against the Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs, and Dallas Cowboys.
If it is indeed early November, that puts Him in line to open his season against the Tampa Bay Bucs on November 10th or the Seattle Seahawks on November 17th.
So far, the 49ers are 1-2 without him.
McCaffrey led the NFL with 2,023 yards from scrimmage and 21 touchdowns last season.
The three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro earned Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year honors as a result.
In his absence, Jordan Mason has rushed for 344 total yards and scored twice.
McCaffrey’s absence isn’t the only thing slowing down the 49ers. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel is dealing with a calf injury, and a hamstring issue forced George Kittle to miss his team’s 27-24 road loss at the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday.
The 49ers Need To Keep Their Head Above Water Until Christian McCaffrey Returns
Due to injuries, the 49ers are not looking like a team that can have a deep playoff run or even make the Super Bowl again.
Not having a dynamic player in Christian McCaffrey is certainly hurting things, but the under .500 team needs to figure it out before this season becomes lost.
Former NFL Quarterback Brett Favre Lashes Out At Taylor Swift, Accuses Her Of Using Her “Influence” For Foul Reasons

Former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre has taken a swipe at pop sensation Taylor Swift for political reasons ahead of the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.
The 11-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro is known to be a supporter of former President Donald Trump and has previously endorsed him.
He’s since taken a shot at Swift, who recently endorsed Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris following Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes informing everyone that he wouldn’t endorse a candidate.
“Good take by Mahomes,” he wrote in a tweet.
“I see a lot of celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting the people think for themselves. If the best choice for them ain’t clear and they’re easily swayed by their fav pop artist, it’s not going to be a good thing.”
